House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced Friday her colleagues have decided to move forward with impeaching President Trump for a second time if he does not resign.
After an hours long meeting, the California Democrat said members of Congress hope Mr. Trump will resign but if not, they’ll move forward on their own.
“I have instructed the Rules Committee to be prepared to move forward with Congressman Jamie Raskin’s 25th Amendment legislation and a motion for impeachment. Accordingly, the House will preserve every option – including the 25th Amendment, a motion to impeach or a privileged resolution for impeachment,” she announced.

Under the 25th Amendment a president can be removed from office should the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet agree — or, alternatively, the vice president and another body that Congress designates for the purpose of determining a president’s fitness.

Go lay an egg chicken Pelosi!
Good grief, and the Botox queen thinks Trump is crazy.
Are the Deep Staters terrified their thousands of dirty little secrets will get dumped all over the Internet?
But—blasting away at the President does not really prevent that—he would still have plenty of time to release whatever documents he chose to....
I am totally baffled by this.
Because they want to humiliate him. Disgraced former leaders are a marxist specialty.
nope it’s started
Lindsey Graham calling on Biden to tell Pelosi to stand down.
Keep him from pardoning himself or others and to open him up for criminal prosecution for anything they can dream up
Will also keep others from defending him in any court
They plan on destroying him
As a sign of healing that they demand, we should ask nicely that all incumbent politicians resign to allow for new blood as both parties are completely corrupt.
That could be a fair trade off for the 80 million that are asked to swallow the fraud, shut up and usher in the marxists.
We can be very nice and give them 90 days to make the correct decision.

funp
Lindsey has a lot of dirty little secrets that could be released—he has been running around like a chicken with his head cut off the last few weeks—terrified of everybody and totally irrational.
Too bad he had not peed in it.
“She’s deathly afraid of what Trump might do in the remaining 12 days. Nothing else can explain this kind of paranoia. They now control all three branches of govt and Trump is about to leave in 12 days. So why this urgency ?”
Cancel culture. The left often does that. Defeating an opponent is not enough; they aim to erase their opponents, and any and all record or trace of them. The Democrats are going full Stalin on Trump, confirming for all to see just who and what they are.
Closer?
Outstanding.
Amendment XXV Section 1.
In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President. Section 2.
Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress. Section 3.
Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President. Section 4.
Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

“Lindsey Graham calling on Biden to tell Pelosi to stand down.”
Am I the only one here seeing this as an insultingly obvious game of “Good-Cop Bad-Cop”? Pelosi, Shumer and all the other Democrat legislators will call for Trump’s immediate removal, impeachment, imprisonment etc and then wise old Joe Biden the statesmen will come in and be the calming voice of reason. It’s just Kabuki theater, and very poorly written.
I’m counting on all of you to be very impressed with Biden’s wise steady leadership in this crisis and to say to yourselves “Maybe this won’t be so bad after all...”
good for him
To the person who told me around Jan 3 that we hadn’t see nothing yet....sheesh...I feel like months have gone by since that post
Good question.
I guess that the Democrats know will not be challenged and want to institute full control over everyone now. They cannot wait twelve days.
