Trump's fans condemn violence, but they aren't about to blame him

Eddie Emerson worked his fly fishing pole back and forth, tossing his line into a pond in West Texas, searching for stocked trout and an answer to questions on how he felt about the storming of the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters.

A backer of President Donald Trump, Emerson said he disliked the violence he saw on TV on Wednesday: people overturning barricades, clashing with police and swarming the building in Washington that houses the Senate and House of Representatives. Emerson expressed frustration with what he called the hypocrisy of those who condemned the riots but turned a blind eye to violence at Black Lives Matter protests last summer.

“What about Portland?” he asked, pointing to the months of protest and mayhem in Oregon’s largest city. “When it’s the left behind the violence, then it’s just them expressing their voice, their creativity.”

In two dozen interviews with Trump backers, they condemned Wednesday’s violence, but at the same time did not hold the president responsible.

They blamed the violence on left wing protesters - without any evidence - and expressed little hope that the deeply divided country would unify anytime soon.

For supporters like Paul Sanchez, a 50-year-old plumber who had a Trump flag flying above the American flag in front of his house in Lamesa, it was hard to fathom that ordinary Trump voters would engage in violence.

“Antifa and Black Lives Matter and that whole bunch tore up shit in cities across the country for months, and the Democrats didn’t really condemn it, not really,” Sanchez said. “I’m really pissed - but I’m not going to go out and destroy somebody’s house, I’m not going to burn down any business.”

As is often said, Democrats do have standards. Double standards. It’s

OK for them to condone violence and rioting, but when our side does it, then it’s not OK.

Yeah watching a non-violent unarmed 14 year veteran being shot dead from six feet away while she was no threat to anyone as there were already multiple armed police around her and the other unarmed peaceful protesters....who the hell are we suppose to blame for the violence. The victim who was pretty much jus murdered?

We are currently in the modern equivalent of the “phony war”.

The sixth was not the end. It was the end of the beginning. At the end of the day, this is not about trump at all. However, they continue to attack him at their peril.

You can’t a news article anymore without reading a long editorial or an idiotic essay by the author around a small amount of information.

Stalin’s fans feel bad about the death of 10,000,000 Soviets but aren’t about to blame him.

“In your long and distinguished acting career, going back to your earliest days in Chicago all the way up to present days working with Will Farrell on ‘Elf’, you have had the chance to do almost anything you could ever wish to do. But if you had the chance to play the biographical story of a historical figure you respected most over your lifetime, who would it be?”

Remembering the sad story he had told about the poor kids in Chicago, I half expected him to come out with a political name of some sort.

“I think Joe Stalin was a guy that was hugely misunderstood,” said Asner. “And to this day, I don’t think I have ever seen an adequate job done of telling the
story of Joe Stalin, so I guess my answer would have to be Joe Stalin.””

I do NOT condemn violence. Violence works for liberals and being peaceful has only gotten our elections stolen from us.

"they aren't about to blame him"

For the violence that has afflicted America like a deadly plague??? Of course not.

Violence had infected America long before Donald Trump appeared. He realised what had seized his beloved America and used all his enormous resources to combat it.

Donald Trump worked tirelessly to save America from destruction by the forces of decadence, totalitarianism, greed, treason, hate--and violence. The honest--the seekers of truth--know this. The mendacious deny it. The stupid do not understand it.

The media gave Obama and the Democrats a pass as BLM was calling for the death of police and even excused the guy who was assassinating officers.

Trump voters don’t need to raise funds from virtue-signaling plutocrats to finance election campaigns. GOP pols do. For some weird reason, lefty plutocrats have no issues with arson, aggravated assault and looting, but right-wing plutocrats have issues with a simple illegal trespass where an office had its furniture rearranged, a few items broken and an unarmed, trespassing demonstrator shot at point blank range, despite uniformed cops right behind her.

It’s easy to see how uniparty members of Congress would have been comfortable ordering down tank and machine gun fire on demonstrators in the American equivalent of Tiananmen Square. The only thing stopping them now is probably fear of delayed return fire in the future, at a time when they least expect it.

Demonrats promote blm, antifa and riots for “equality” but their party as a whole doesn't get blame. Conservatives get infiltrated by radical activists and are considered one. F-em!
