By your reckoning everyone who stepped into the Capitol building yesterday was subject to summary execution. Federal troops who were pelted with lethal projectiles and pyrotechnics defending Federal building in a number of US cities did not use lethal force even though it would have been justified. This was a political assassination and you are in the side of the thugs, not the rule of law.
There is no doubt that ANTIFA thugs were involved in this event.

Depends on where you are as to what the consequences would be, but this was not a home, it's a public building, and she was unarmed.

This is what a protest is -- left or right. All they accomplished was a delay. No one had illusions this transfer would be cancelled (outside of Q-nuts).

She should have expected to possibly be arrested -- like a number of other protesters around the country have been, even those who had been violent or destroyed property. I'm pretty certain she didn't expect she'd be murdered.

The socialists took over the police forces and the police stopped enforcing the law — except for political purposes and against enemies of the Deep State.
In some States, if you opened fire on someone breaking into your house, and you had an avenue of egress to get out of your house, and didn’t use it, you could be charged with murder. And you’d be charged especially, for not knowing who you were shooting at. People have shot and killed strangers, drunk or otherwise, knocking on their doors, and been charged with murder.
