Republicans lined up to blame President Donald Trump for losing at least one Georgia Senate runoff Wednesday.
Senator Mitt Romney claimed that Trump pushing allegations Georgia 'rigged' the presidential election could cost Republicans the Senate.
'It turns out that telling the voters that the election was rigged is not a great way to turn out your voters,' Romney told reporters on Capitol Hill Wednesday morning as he prepares for a joint session of Congress to certify the Electoral College results.
In Georgia's two Senate runoff elections on Tuesday, there was a less-than-expected Election Day turnout – a bad sign for Republicans in almost any election.
Democrat Reverend Raphael Warnock emerged victorious over incumbent Senator Kelly Loeffler, and, as of Wednesday morning, Democrat candidate Jon Ossoff is still leading Republican Senator David Perdue by slim margins.
Republicans immediately started turning on Trump, claiming he was to blame for their loss in Georgia and could cost them their majority in the Senate.
Georgia's voting system implementation manager Gabriel Sterling told CNN Wednesday Trump is responsible for what happened in Georgia. He also put some of the onus on forer Georgia Representative Doug Collins, who ran against Loeffler and Warnock in the open general election on November 3.

I know a lot of folks from Utah. Yeah, they’re Mormons, but they’d have never voted for this milquetoast. Rock-solid conservative, America-loving folks. But, demographics are changing. I’m originally from Idaho. Stuck in NM for the time being. A lot of really good people here, but the state is gone politically. I think shenanigans have occurred in both states for a while now.
Let’s be real, if the powers that be want Romney in, then he will be, that’s pretty obvious now. They can structure the government any way they see fit. Not so sure Romney isn’t in office because of election tampering.
Yep. And he threw the election to Obama, just like McCain did. They practically said sometimes, in so many words, “Don’t vote for me, people. I think you all should vote for Obama too. I just might vote for him myself.”
They only like Romney when he’s speaking against Conservatives, they don’t want him in power neither.
Go ahead Mitt, run for President against Trump and show us all how to turn out the base.

Exactly why shouldn’t he “light it up”. The crooks found money for Pakistan in a COVID bill but are concerned about the deficit. Give me a break. They need to be strung up. They are robbing thr country blind.
Hilarious. Nobody but the RINO establishment believes this. They can’t admit it was Trump who carried many of them over the finish line in November. It is Trump who appeals to working class voters they have no chance of ever appealing to. Now Trump and the Populists will primary a whole bunch of them for their betrayal. They’ll be just as shocked when they lose those races too.

It was clear to anyone Paying attention what happened...its the same thing that’s been happening for decades. They fill it full of crap wait until the end of the year (check the last 15 years and see the legislative activity around Christmas) and tie it to military spending, or shut downs ect. These people should be strung up. President Trump is the only push back there has been. Period.
