Americans are less likely to wear a mask indoors at private gatherings with non-household members than they are in public, a Gallup poll released Monday found.
Many political figures, particularly Democrats such as New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), have advised Americans to remain vigilant, even when gathering in the privacy of one’s home in the era of the Chinese coronavirus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), for example, advised Americans to wear masks at Thanksgiving and has since urged Americans to wear masks at holiday gatherings that feature more than one household.

We’re planning on a Christmas dinner party with 10/12 people from multiple households without masks and social distancing.
If masks worked, the virus would be gone by now.
I wonder if statistics are being kept on ‘smokers’ and ‘non-smokers’.

That poll illustrates the differences between republicans and democrats. The dems are extremely risk averse and the republicans do not perceive the risks as significant. Every time I saw someone wearing a Biden/Harris t-shirt, they were wearing a mask. People wearing Trump hats were not.
That poll also explains why Biden is pushing for a national mask mandate. He may/maynot believe in such a mandate but his base does.
Unfortunately the Presidential election turned into a referendum on COVID responses, including lockdowns and masks.
The pearl clutchers are claiming vindication.
This American is less likely to wear a mask just about everywhere. Actually everywhere.
I had to get a stupid government emission test and the thug at the government test center tried to make me wear on in my car.

Democrats, please provide guidance on mask hygiene by your own actions. That includes the legislatures, all executive offices, and courts.

I wonder if data is available about COVID deaths by political affiliation and age. If R’s don’t show significantly higher death rates (adjusted for age), then this poll strongly suggests that the lockdowns were utter nonsense.
Dems are extremely risk averse...except with other people’s money.
