Fox news:

155, ORIG. TEXAS V. PENNSYLVANIA, ET AL. The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution. Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections. All other pending motions are dismissed as moot. Statement of Justice Alito, with whom Justice Thomas joins: In my view, we do not have discretion to deny the filing of a bill of complaint in a case that falls within our original jurisdiction. See Arizona v. California, 589 U. S. ___ (Feb. 24, 2020) (Thomas, J., dissenting). I would therefore grant the motion to file the bill of complaint but would not grant other relief, and I express no view on any other issue.

I agree with you there. The upholding of our constitutional rights and to follow the letter of the laws has always resided at the state level.

In the hands of a bunch of squishy pubbies who would sell their mother for POWER!

TEXAN FOR #TEXIT. Past time to get the hell out

That will be my first call Monday morning. To our governor demanding that our comptroller stop all stipends going to the feral government. Texas money for Texans and by the way get the hell out of this failed experiment.

Just a thought... maybe SCOTUS thinks this is the best way out in order to avoid any violence from he left since the right rarely does anything about it>>>>>>>>

No. The Courts decision of the Texas case assures violence will happen. Conservatives will not engage in te rioting and violence like the liberal fascist dems do.

The Conservative brand of violence will be deadly, unceasing, and will not involve crowds. The institutions held dear by the left will be eroded and destroyed, just like they do to the patriot institutions now. And it very well could break out into open urban warfare in sanctuary cities, as criminals take over the cities whichi will have bo law enforcement or prosecution.

No, SCOTUS actually assured that violence and mayhem will happen. And thats very sad.

Today it is so they can graduate from college, go after their careers, etc. Same thing.

Not over yet - this battle is lost but the war is still being waged.
Washington could have given up when the Red Coats took NYC and we would have never been - he kept fighting and so will I.

Someone said something about the times that try men’s souls - who has a milquetoast for a soul here?

“the unlegislated change in election laws seemed the more obvious arguments.”

You can read about that position when you wish. It’s the core of the Texas filing.

I get that, but I mean from within the states, not from the perspective of the other states.

They said the other states didn’t have standing, so the argument could work from another perspective.

That is, without the claim that that illegality harmed the value of the other states’ electoral votes.

So - who then has standing? Could a large group of hundreds or even thousands of voters in each of these states file against their own state because changing the rules opened the door to massive outright fraud? Would they have standing?

Depends on which court they file in and what they're asking for to remediate the damages. They'd still have a better chance than Texas had.
