Texas welcomed most of those Golden State transplants — 82,235 Californians moved to the Lone Star State in 2019. Arizona was the second-most popular destination, with 59,713 former Californians moving there. Third comes Washington state, with 46,791 Californians heading up the Pacific coast.
While Texas saw most immigrants from California, Nevada had the largest chunk per capita — 1,552 of every 100,000 Nevadans had relocated from California last year.

I left LA in 1982 for Utah, where my wife was born. Never been sorry. Not for one nanosecond.
Oregon had that as a bumper sticker in the ‘70s.
It was a solidly Republican, mostly rural state then.

For years ( it still may be there?) they had big billboards along the highway if you entered Oregon frim the south saying “Don’t Californicate Oregon!” But alas the signs didn’t work!

We have noticed that fake conservatives have moved from California to left wing cities/counties in Oregone, Washington, Nevada and New Mexico. Any area with a ski resort from Idaho to Mexico is a prime target for relocating former semi conservatives. Even Idaho and Montana are ending up with these losers.
One of our younger female in laws has had it with California. Her two little but formerly flourishing businesses are about to close due to our governor.
She and her super conservative husband are scouting out red states with red cities to move to. He can do consulting from a home office with high speed internet and new gear.
Thanks to the fascists, who control the county they live in. They have not been able to go to a good restaurant with resies, sit inside and enjoy good food. Their hair stylists and personal MDs are controlled by idiots.
Prop 19 and conservative counties/cities along the Oregon S. border might keep them here in California.
Btw, it’s very convenient to blame people from some other states for their states who are now leaning left. But everyone forgets, a conga line of hundreds of thousands from each state are graduating their own kiddies from these leftist schools or indoctrination centers each year. And they all vote. If anyone thinks these schools are graduating Trump supporting patriots, I have a nice bridge to sell them.
