New York is dangerously close to overwhelming its hospital system with new COVID-19 cases — and preparing to recruit retired doctors and nurses to the front lines again, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Monday.
“It’s a new phase in the war against COVID,” Cuomo said — adding that daily coronavirus hospitalizations statewide are nearly quadruple what they were in June.

Yup- he shut the state down- put many out of business- tax revenue has dwindled, so now he wants more money to make up for something HE did
Once again
Which NYC hospitals did he close this time around?
Hey, Andrew, why don’t you alleviate the hospital shortage by shipping the covid patients to nursing homes. Oh, that’s right, been there, done that. So yesterday.
He wants it BEFORE the huge massive bailouts that will be i n the ‘stimulus packages’ that go to all the irresponsible states that didn’t budget correctly- He wants a double portion
I doubt that the COVID hospitalization problem is worse than it was in the Spring.
I hope that everyone is remembering that the Left had planned
to cut the number of doctors and hospitals in their grand plan
for government single payer health care.
He’s wanting a second Emmy Award.
Is CUOMO planning on sending the COVID-19 overflow to NURSING HOMES to finish off the population?
And he can hold his hand on his backside awaiting for Trump to do that again.
He is lying, again. The upstate NY hospital I work for has uptake in usual seasonal respiratory illnesses, not related to Wuhan virus. Do not believe a word that comes out of this self-centered idiot’s mouth, NOT ONE WORD!
Maybe he could find up some solutions in that auto-biography that someone wrote for him about his Emmy Award-winning leadership during the first wave?
Yep!!!!!!
Medicare.
When my mom was so sick last year...her doc ordered for “palliative” care. They padded the bill by showing up WAY too often. In fact, some of the caregivers voiced their concerns about employees who were milking the system.
The ones milking it would show up ahead of the schedule..multiple times..not on the roster. Overkill. Very pushy with my mom. We had to step in.
Bet he won’t get any volunteers from other states ... remember last time he taxed them for working temporarily in NY.
Staff the ICUs with septuagenarian and octogenarian doctors and nurses who haven't practiced in 20 years. What could possibly go wrong?
“What happened to the hospital ship Trump sent you?? Can anyone verify what this jagoff is saying about hospitals being overwhelmed?”
My thoughts exactly! Don’t forget the 40,000 ventilators needed!
The Cuomo Organized Crime Family eff’d-up this time.
The last time they got volunteer nurses that work there for more than 14 days, the nurses had to pay New York Income taxes.
Wonder if those nurses will volunteer to go there this time around.
Sub-contract a few guns for hire and pay them piecework. Line up on sides of those bridges, bang-bang and let the river(s) do the disposal.
It would save on nursing home costs.
The ghoul Cuomo has probably thought of a similar scenario or even worse.
If he did something as horrific like I mentioned above, he would no doubt be praised for his measures to save just one life elsewhere. His.
Although there were many one particular time I wanted to do something physical to Schumer was when he said people died due to “Trump’s bungling.”
Cuomo will never admit the truth that his true mismanagment killed all those helpless nursing home victims who had contagious Covid people forced into their confined building. Cuomo did that.
Now the Dems will repeat “Trump killed millions with his policies” for the next four years.
Dana Perino admitted as a Bush employee “I assure you the Dems repeated every day all those four years that Bush was an illegitimate President. Over and over again.”
