This kind of greedy and traitorous corruption is pervasive among the Beltway Bandits of DC.
They're constantly hiring retired military officers and civil servants for their "connections," and sometimes at bargain basement prices (compared to dirtbag K Street lawyers/fixers).
There has NEVER EVER been a serious call or effort to stop this corruption of former federal staffers and retirees as they are lured into the swamp to capitalize on the public trust.
Even "retired" elected officials - and this includes both Republican and Democrats - leave office and immediately open or join K Street "consultancies." They are getting wealthy at public expense.
That's the swamp, plain and simple.

Trump has been betrayed so many times it’s hard to wait for his memoirs.
At the time, I remember being excited about Mattis ... and Bolton. Definate hawks that must have scared our enemies .... a crazy man at the throttle with known hard a$$ support leaders.
So will the memoirs say he was fooled by them or they served their purpose?

To me that phrase isn’t egotistical, but means that some want to knock us down and we’re not going to let that happen.
