As millions of us gather this year to share a quintessentially American holiday, a Thanksgiving Day meal, it’s good to think about the long game.
As you stare across the table at the person with whom the only thing you share in common is your bloodline, keep in mind Americans figured out how to get along after the Civil War, so you’ll get through this too, no matter how the 2020 election results pan out and what happens following.
Please do your best to overlook your loudmouth relative standing over the turkey while wielding a carving knife who won’t shut up about the radical leftist Democrat Party and their empty-headed presidential candidate. Make eye contact with him and smile. Yes, smile big while you imagine all the places someone misguided enough to be a Democrat might shove that turkey leg.
Smile and remember the long game. Depending on what the courts may or may not do, the 2020 election battle might be over--but the war is far from won. If they win this round, it’s because they rigged the system and cheated while a dirty referee looked the other way.
Now we need to wear them down and keep them on defense, infiltrating every area they influence—documenting, recording, making them paranoid. Take up all the empty space in their heads and stay there, rent-free.
As vile and dirty and dishonest as they play, remember we still have the advantage. The U.S. Constitution is our playbook, and truth is on our side, just like it was when Democrats were on the wrong side of history the first time and got defeated during the Civil War.
Where we are today has little to do with politics.
If he is certified, Biden’s proposed policies and potential administration and cabinet picks are the polar opposite of most American people’s values and wishes; they are illogical, extreme and radical, and anti-American, anti-Christian, anti-Israel and anti-U.S. Constitution.
Biden would rule by dictate, not by mandate.
Therefore, he and fellow Democrats no longer share any common ground with us. Conservatives have the same values we’ve always had; it’s Democrats who’ve changed. The policies they brazenly promote are like hurling mashed potatoes in the face of God.
They loathe conservative Americans because we refuse to sit down, shut up, give an inch or give in. They hate us because we refuse to cower, live in fear or submit.
They’ve declared a war against the freedoms guaranteed to us by the Almighty God and reinforced by the U.S. Constitution and expect us to take it lying down. They want us to “unify” with them, join them as comrades-- in the destruction of everything our conscience tells us is good and right.
Not happening.
President Abraham Lincoln faced a similar mess in 1863, with a divided nation bloodied by war—and with great wisdom decided the only way forward was true repentance followed by thanksgiving.
So he officially set aside the last Thursday of November “as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens.” He requested everyone offer up “the ascriptions justly due” to God “for such singular deliverances and blessings…with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience…and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquility and union.”
Lincoln well understood the fine line we walk in our quest to balance truth and grace. Ecclesiastes 3 reminds us there is a time for peace as well as a time for war. And when God’s son overturned the temple tables, Jesus taught us righteous anger is okay.
Lincoln thought about the long game when he told Americans to seek repentance because forgiveness takes time and only comes after genuine remorse. Democrats aren’t interested in that right now, so it’s up to us to get our affairs in order while we wait for Democrats to make the next move.
But, hey, it’s Thanksgiving, and you need to find the grace to get you through the day. Obviously, your left-leaning, knife-wielding relative has no interest in repentance or thanksgiving right now, so it’s up to you.
So smile big, remembering the turkey leg. Then bow your head, thank God for all your blessings, and ask him for the grace to keep you right with him and to remain on the right side of history.
And don’t forget the long game.

The author couldn’t be more wrong. If we don’t fight against the stealing of this election then we have given in. This myth that we resist and fight back will be the real red mirage and not some phony election narrative the demonrats projected. We must fight this with our words, actions and yes blood if needed. It has to be hill we are prepared to die on or it is all over not just for conservatives but America.
A dictator with dementia would be a new wrinkle.

I believe this election was stolen, but we need to be honest. The EC has basically been the emergency brake on a runaway train. The fact that we’ve won the popular vote only once this century tells me that we’re basically just on borrowed time. You don’t import the third world and have communists brainwashing native American children for 60 years and emerge with a functioning society on the other end. They won’t need fraud to win much longer. I’d love to see how we get out of this without a shooting war, but I just don’t see how that’s going to happen.
Let’s give thanks to all the heros who have given sworn affidavits that they witnessed voter fraud. And let’s give thanks for any honest judges and politicians still left in this country, who are allowing public hearings, so these heros can have their stories heard
