New Congresswoman Creates a Furor by Asking About Her Second Amendment Rights

“A right unexercised is a right lost” is the motto of many open-carry advocates. Newly-elected Congresswoman Lauren Boebert from Colorado wants to live the model — and do it on the grounds of the Capitol.
Liberals and anti-gun nuts are having a cow because Rep. Boebert wants to wear a personal firearm when going to work. She apparently asked the Capitol Police about the law and was told that several members of Congress are already carrying.
Capitol Police are not likely to reveal what they told Boebert.
The Hill:
Capitol Police did not release how many lawmakers carry weapons in the Capitol when asked by the Democrats on the House Committee on Administration in 2018, saying “there is no standing requirement” for lawmakers to inform them when they carry a weapon in the Capitol, according to the AP.
The congresswoman is also remaining tight-lipped about her request.
AP:
“This was a private discussion and inquiry about what the rules are, and as a result the Congresswoman-Elect won’t be going on the record,” Boebert aide Laura Carno said in an email last week.
The inquiries by Boebert, who runs Shooters Grill, come as guns remain a passionate issue for both parties, fueled by images of demonstrations by armed Trump supporters, conservative pushes to ease state gun restrictions and recent years’ mass shootings.

So, apparently, if you know the right folks, you get a national carry permit if you get (s)elected to CONgress then? Special treatment is NOT equal treatment. Right? Would it be interesting to know which CONgress critters have been granted that special treatment? Bueller? Bueller? Oh, and congrats to Ms. Boebert.

It’s a good idea to be armed whenever you might encounter DemonRATs. Who knows if they are going to go off or not. It’s like walking through a nest of jihadis to enter any space where DemonRATs might be. They constitute a clear and present danger.

Diane Feinstein was for a time a deputy U.S. Marshal which gave her nation-wide right to carry. She claimed she needed it because she was important and many disliked her.
FWIW, Congress critters are pretty much immune to arrest going to or coming from Congress, so she might well be able to carry in DC without a permit. This immunity is there because English kings sometimes arrested inconvenient members of Parliament and the Founders (all white slave-owning men! /s) knew their history and wanted to keep the legislative branch free from interference from the executive branch.

Schmucky Schumer has a CCP which I frankly find unnerving considering when he flashes that 💩 earing grin of his he bears a creepy resemblance to Lee Harvey Oswald

They have prime rib on Saturdays, and a good prime rib sandwich until it runs out.

How do we “know” Oswald died?
Maybe it was blanks in Ruby’s pistol!
Maybe Oswald was put into witness protection and has been hiding in plain sight all this time!

Note Diana DeGette (Pat Schroeder Jr.) lovingly looking on.

Just ask Mass. Cong Charles Sumner, an abolitionist who was beaten almost to death by Preston Brooks a pro slavery DEMOCRAT. Subsequently fellow Mass. Rep Anson Burlingame delivered an oration in the House denouncing Brooks in the strongest possible terms. Brooks challenged Burlingame to a duel but chickened out when Brooks was made aware Burlingame was an accomplished marksman. In this respect Brooks may an early ANQUEEFA member.
