I got sick in 2007.
I was the only conservative in a department of 50 people.
We argued like hell and then would go out for drinks and have a great time.
When I got sick, they were Beyond Generous with subscriptions and Money and Food and Gift Cards..
But 2007 might as well have been a million years ago.
They were all in their 30s and 40s back in 2007.
I think those under 40 or maybe 30 now are the most virulent, violent, destructive and hateful group I have ever seen.
And there’s NO WAY they would do for a Trump voter what those people did for me 13 years ago.

I am still trying to wrap my head around the FACT so many in our nation are so blinded with a level of hate like this. I cannot understand they do not see the timber in their own eye, but then one can’t...until someone plucks it out.
I have often wondered what it was like leading up to the communist revolutions/Mao/Stalin/Hitler.... People knew it was coming, it was happening, and felt like they are living in an alternative universe about to be snuffed out.

I know what that kind of work environment can be like. Today’s Left is nowhere near as “tolerant” as the lefties back then when there was still some semblance of civility. But even then conservatives still mostly kept their views to themselves.
During the Obama years office political tensions and resentment definitely rose but after Trump was elected it got downright hostile.
