MADISON, Wis. (AP) — President Donald Trump has paid $3 million for a partial recount in Wisconsin but has yet to file a petition indicating which counties it is targeting, the Wisconsin Elections Commission said Wednesday.
The Trump campaign has told the commission that it will file the petition by the 5 p.m. deadline, the commission tweeted.
A statewide recount would cost Trump $7.9 million. The $3 million he paid would be enough to cover the $2.8 million cost of a recount in the state’s two most Democratic counties of Milwaukee and Dane. In those counties, Democrat Joe Biden received 577,455 votes. He won statewide by 20,608 votes, based on canvassed results submitted by the counties.

I get a text on my phone about every 15 minutes asking for donations. I know a lot of folks that are contributing. I throw them a 20 every couple days.

“I thought one of the problems of “Bush-Gore” was that Gore only wanted a partial recount “
I’m wondering the same. Maybe we have only a superficial understanding of that ruling. I certainly may.
I hope someone explains.
(And maybe a complete recount would be done if these results are significant?)

"$2.8 million cost of a recount in the state’s two most Democratic counties of Milwaukee and Dane."
Unbelievable. The states, counties, and cities run corrupt elections and the loser has to pay for the recount? What the hell?
And $2.8 MILLION is the cost of a recount in only TWO counties? How the hell could it possibly cost that much?

You heard correct.
Even in Australia where voting is MANDATORY (I did not know that), voting rates are 90%.
Impossible to believe anything close to that in a blue city when other blue cities across the land did not have similar turnout.
This election was a FRAUD.

He needs to bring in his own people. Grab them from the rally on Saturday. Why not? I guess it was Zuckerberg who hired counters in at least one state.

I figure the Trump campaign knows what they’re doing. Agreed. IMO, the recount should include the voting machine data logs in a form that is certified as verifiably authentic and complete.
If election officials claim there is no such evidence then it amounts to "you have to take our word for the validity of the votes and the count". With that, it should proceed directly to the various state legislations.

99% of the cheating came from Milwaukee and Dane counties - it always does.

I would guess that Trump has been self-funding his campaign and voting count defense personally, for the most part.

How can the Trump campaign afford all of this? Where do they get the money? From people like me who click the link at the top of the page linked below and send him money. If you have some to spare, please help.

The cool thing about that fund is that the money goes directly into Trump’s pocket. So you can help him with his retirement. Your screen name is perfect for you. Trump is the first president in modern history who will leave office poorer than when he came in.

If fraud is found does the state pay back the fees, plus a finder’s fee for rooting out the fraud the state failed to catch? They're not looking for fraud. They're recounting the same ballots they counted before. The chances of finding an error that impacts the results of the election are very slim.

Looking at Milwaukee County, Biden received 69% of the recorded vote, vs. 65% for Hillary. Trump's percentage remained flat at 29% in both years, with 6K more votes for the President from 2016 to 2020. Biden received 36K more votes than Hillary. Third party vote declined from 7% to 1.6% between 2016 and 2020, about 21K fewer votes. About half of that vote went to the Libertarian candidate. These voters, if they defected, would more likely favor Trump vs. Biden. About one-fourth went to the Green Party, whose voters would support Biden. The main difference between 2016 and 2020 is the 24K vote increase in overall vote count. Staring with Hillary's 281K base, and adding about 5K Green Party switches to Biden, that would mean that all the 24K vote increase between 2016 and 2020 would have to go to Biden, which is impossible.
Admittedly, this is not proof, but this is just one of many improbabilities.

They have been fundraising for this very purpose since election day.
