(CNN)As House Democrats prepare to reelect their entire leadership team this week, one thing has come into clear focus 14 days removed from the 2020 election: They got beat -- badly.
While much of the focus in the days immediately after November 3 fell on whether Joe Biden had beaten Donald Trump (he had) and whether Democrats would win back the Senate majority (they haven't -- yet), the last few days have been filled with close House races (finally) being projected. And those projections reveal just how poorly House Democrats did.
With just a handful of races still uncalled at this point, Republicans have gained nine seats -- having won 12 Democratic-held districts and lost just three of their own. And those numbers don't even tell the full story, given that two of the three seats Republicans lost were the direct result of a redrawing of North Carolina's congressional districts that reworked the map in ways that were decidedly unfavorable to the GOP. Subtract those two seats, which neither party spent any money in or seriously contested, and you are down to a single competitive seat that went from red to blue: The suburban Atlanta 7th District.
As David Wasserman, the House editor at the Cook Political Report, a non-partisan campaign tip sheet, noted on Twitter on Monday:
"It's been almost two weeks since Election Day, and Democrats still haven't won a *single one* of the 27 House races in @CookPolitical's Toss Up column."
That's an incredible stat -- especially when you consider that the Democratic presidential nominee [allegedly] won 306 electoral votes ...

Hmmm
Makes Biden’s supposed win even more questionable.
Dems 225...Pubbies 210....Only need to peel off 8 “moderate” dems for a showdown in what bills pass...Are there any moderate dems???There will be if the dems go too far left...
It’s funny. The guy who “lost” had some really great coattails. It usually doesn’t work that way. Almost makes me think that he really “won” …
I think they were mostly the ones that just died.
“Joe Biden had beaten Donald Trump (he had)”
Just another CNN lie...
We need a new term:
Coat-fails
Sydney Powell is saying any Republican in any race who lost by 6% or less should sue or join a lawsuit to recount that race. She believes the algorithm may have been used in all races. That would be amazing considering how well Republicans did.
The dems cheated ,but had a good reason..THEY WERE SAVING AMERICA FROM NAZISM......In their minds it wasn’t cheating,it was necessary....
In terms of votes the House results are not that far away from the Presidential results 50.3% - 48.3%
Dem 74,828,539 votes (50.3%)
Rep 71,776,380 votes (48.3%)
The first time in United States history we have coattails with no coat
FYI
Democrat votes for house were 8 percent higher than for Repubs nationwide
Correct me if I am wrong
Gerrymandering - Good in the main

You forgot the /s tag. ;)
Humor and sarcasm doesn't always translate well in the written word.
Factoids
No President in history has lost reelection and his party gain seats in the House of Representatives.
Biden got fewer votes than Hillary or Obama in virtually every metro area except those in battleground states ie Philly, Atlanta, Detroit, Milwaukee and Phoenix
Imagine that
While much of the focus in the days immediately after November 3 fell on whether Joe Biden had beaten Donald Trump (he had)
How I despise these people.
Not if they want to keep their seats on various committees, there isn’t.
It could be 218-217 DEMs, and they would rule as 100% liberal.
This is what happens when you manufacture thousands of ballot with votes for Joe Biden only on them.
‘Sidney Powell’
I love this woman! Rumor has it she is on the short list to head the CIA. She said she’s going to do some major housecleaning if she ever gets the job.
Her books are in my ‘to read’ stack. :)
Get closer to 2022 and there will suddenly be moderates....Having a committee seat is great, but you have to keep your job to do that.......
