VALDOSTA, Ga. (WCTV) - Georgia will begin its audit of the presidential race Friday morning at 9 a.m. and it must be finished by next Wednesday, November 18, at midnight.
Local elections offices in all 159 counties connected for training on Thursday, which included detailed instructions on how to recount all of the ballots by hand.
Hand-counting ballots may seem self-explanatory, but election officials in Lowndes County say the process involved is all new.
Lowndes County Elections Supervisor Deb Cox is gearing her team up for, what the state is calling, an audit, recount and recanvas all in one.
“They’re excited to do something new. They’re excited to be part of the state-wide process to verify that Georgia’s on the top of the heat for security and voter accuracy,” Cox said.
But after the state took some heat from the Trump campaign earlier this week, the president’s recount group leader, Doug Collins, insisted Tuesday it all be done by hand.
“This is a victory for integrity," Collins said. "This is a victory for transparency, from our campaign’s perspective. The Secretary of State has agreed to the hand recount, and now the people of Georgia can see the transparency of an election here in Georgia.”
“Let me be perfectly clear on this, if it was 14,000 votes the other way, we would be doing the exact same thing," Gabriel Sterling with the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office said on Thursday.

So is this a recount or a recount and audit? Makes a big difference.

Also, will there be republicans there to verify the count? Or will it be just the Rats counting?
I don’t trust the Rats. We need independent representation to inspect these ballots.
Georgia Voting Implementation Manager Gabe Sterling announced Thursday that the hand recount and audit of the presidential race in Georgia will begin at 9 a.m. Friday.
This will be our bellwether.
It must be completed in 5 days and involves a hand count of every ballot in the state.
Four teams of two poll workers will pull the paper ballots out of boxes, put them in separate stacks based on whether the vote was for Joe Biden or Donald Trump, then count the stacks and put the numbers into the computer.
Voters who cast ballots in person already have seen that their votes were recorded correctly on a piece of paper and scanned correctly. But, “Maybe this will go to help people trust this new system,” she said. “I hope this reinforces to voters there’s no hanky panky going on.”
It can rule out/in digital manipulation.

Not mentioned in article but discussed on NewsMax tonight, it USED TO BE, Mail in ballot signatures had to match driver IDs signatures. Now, the outside envelope Signature (which is now discarded) has to match the mail in ballot signature.
I saw on Newsmax that the state is only allowing one pole watcher per 10 counting tables. Why not full transparity?
That doesn't mean squat! So basically all their doing now is seeing if the Dominion software program is able to add accurately?

Is that legislated law in the state, or government fiat that made the change?
GA got sued this summer, and to resolve the suit, they agreed to that change

Exactly! Without audit of each ballot for legality, recount has little meaning. Counting fake ballots will always end up with fake results.
Agree. GA will be critical. If Trump can take GA thru the recount/audit process, then he will have the wind at his back in the other states, especially if they find significant evidence of fraud. Fulton, Dekalb, and Gwinnett counties are ground zero.
A loss in GA probably ends Trump’s chances. Fairly optimistic about Trump’s chances.j
