"Having familiarized myself with the new policy and its ramifications... I must regretfully resign from my role as director of the Election Crimes Branch."
The media will run with this - “it’s all political!”.
His job is to make sure there’s nothing problematic. That he’s unwilling to even look first before declaring that there’s “nothing to see” is a sign of guilt.
He was complicit.
any FakeNewsMAM that writes about his reignaion and doesn’t bring up his connections to Lerner just proves, again, why they are FakeNewsMSM.
great news.
No slow walking this one. Barr's directive was:
Attorney General William Barr has authorized federal prosecutors across the U.S. to pursue substantial allegations of voting irregularities before the 2020 presidential election is certified (AP News)
Doing the job that Lane Street Media did once upon a time.
Being an Obama-Biden appointee since 2010 (and WHY was he still there?), it’s extraordinarily likely that the ongoing investigations will have his name popping up with some frequency.
Methinks he just doesn’t want to be there when that’s happening.
The way Barr looks at some of those incredibly stupid and obviously-compromised Democrat legislators during Congressional hearings indicates to me he believes they are, to put it mildly, no friends of the Republic.
He may not be a fan of Trump’s bombastic style, but I have no doubt at all that he is a loyal American.
Swamp rat outed. Bye.

My reading of Barr memo is that he just threw Rudy, Trump Jr. & others chasing false claims under the bus. The memo states DOJ only should investigate “irregularities that, if true, could potentially impact the outcome of a federal election in an individual State.” That # = 0
from same guy:
This is also a money line from Barr memo: “... specious, speculative, fanciful or far - fetched claims
should not be a basis for initiating federal inquiries.” To date, all the claims are just that - Specious, Speculative, Fanciful & Far - fetched !
This guy was an Obama guy guilty of covering up fraud with Lois Lerner at the IRS.
Um, isn’t that what we’re all looking at and posting about, actions that could “potentially impact the outcome of a federal election in an individual State”? The swing states?
i am too tired to parse through all of this but it could very well be this:

I read it as Barr trying to appease his current boss, while also trying to give himself an off-ramp to continue working in DC.
95% of Washington DC votes went to Biden.. that says much.
I’m with you! :) ... Have a good night ... Rest up ... There will surely be much more tomorrow! FReegards!
He was fired.
And if his lackey’s screw up, they win a long vacay at Club Gitmo
Axios? Seriously???
He said he didnt want to be part of the DOJ if it was being used for political purposes.
Didnt have a problem during Russiagate, though.

Didn’t he also go after the Tea Party?
If he’s got no stomach to prove there were irregularities or
not, then he did the right thing.
I would think he would find this a very challenging and
interesting task. He coulda’ been a part of history.
Now he is history...
According to Twitter reports, this is the same guy who assisted Lois Lerner when she was head of the IRS in targeting the Tea Party and conservative organizations. So, why was he still in charge of “Election Integrity Investigations?”
He either didn’t know about it and should have, or he knew about it and did nothing. Good time to bail. I guess he didn’t anticipate this.
