I would love this to continue though I agree with Trump he already won PA.
i would love to believe that the military ballots would come to the rescue. however as i mentioned in a previous thread, i called the state sos office and got a clarification that they go directly by mail to the stateside voter home counties and presumably get added to the mix of ballots to be counted immediately (if for no other reason than since some counties have zero ballots outstanding). plus more responsible people should (imho) tend to vote early (including military/overseas). so i am personally hesitant to place any bets that these votes will help. could it be that the national republican party simply does not understand the situation and is misreading how the military votes are counted? that also seems unlikely since it is so easy to check (so easy that i could do it in a single phone call attempt).
or, maybe i am wrong and somehow the military votes will still come to the rescue by some mechanism that i have not yet considered likely, but is more in line with actuality... i hope so...
ya, plus i think many of the students at the big AZ universities might be stay at home due to the bug, which might work towards trumps advantage in preventing aggregate “yut” votes for biden... (but who knows, and full disclosure, i do not live in AZ, so...)

NY Times is reporting 175,000 ballots left to count in PA. Of those 58,000 are in Philadelphia.
You’re not wrong. There won’t be military ballots to the rescue.
The kill shot for GA was when the SOS changed the remaining votes from 25k to 61k. It was those added votes that will put Biden over the top.
There are just too many votes out in Pennsylvania for it to come down to only Georgia. I’d say PA is even more likely to flip to Biden and with a bigger margin than GA even if GA does also flip.
All the recounts should be done and everything should be examined carefully. But we don’t need Trump claiming the election is stolen when he can’t prove it and we don’t need protests in the streets. This is going to make the GOP look like sore losers. If that turns people off enough it could hurt the two upcoming Senate runoff races in Georgia, which if both lost, puts the Senate in Democrat hands.
Whining about losing an election doesn’t look good and doesn’t play well. After the recounts in close states are done, it’s going to be time to concede gracefully and regroup for the next election. Trump can run again in 2024 but he will hurt his chances if he comes off like a sore loser now.

I looked up a couple of sources, there are 8899 military and overseas votes sent that had not been returned as of this morning. They have until 5 pm tomorrow.
So, yeah. That is not something to hang our hat on. Let’s hope the audit and legal teams can get to the bottom of the fraud
If Trump gets any less than 43% of the 175,000 remaining ballots, the vote count flips to Biden. And unfortunately Biden is not only going to get 57% of them. More like 70%.
Donald Trump, Jr. has political aspirations himself. Trump doesn’t want to turn people off with the way he exits the White House. He still has a chance to get back in the White House himself or as an adjunct of his son.
There will be no legitimate election in 2024 if we don’t solve the fraud issues in GA. We have 2 senate races in GA that are in runoffs subject to the same fraud. There is no regrouping. This is it.

The Dem party made a huge push to get their voters to vote by mail and their voters were also more afraid of COVID. So I believe Fox when they say absentee ballots were skewed to the Democrats absolutely everywhere and in-person voting was similarly skewed to the Republicans. Everyone knew and saw that was happening before the election so it should come as no surprise.

where i am in sf bay i listened to the local KCBS AM radio station for a while after trump’s speech this afternoon. they had on one of their political analysts, who i think i heard was also a sonoma state university polisci prof. the guy winged the interview and managed to mention all of the standard anti-trump liberal talking points without bothering to give any opposing point of view, essentially accusing trump of being a crazy person vested in conspiracy theories and not giving any evidence for his accusations (as if a short speech is the time and place to go into such deep dives). actually trump did mention some specifics but neither the “expert” nor the “reporters” gave trump any credit for those mentions. it was 100% anti-trump, 100% of the time. i went through a long period (during the obama administration) of not listening to AM news radio at all, but it is still a shock to come back to it and find affirmation that it is 100% propaganda nowadays.
the abyss question is what to do if the courts and the legislatures duck the issue altogether...

Any fraud that can be proven should be taken to the courts of course. As of this point we don’t know if Georgia will be close enough for a handful of votes to matter. But with Pennsylvania being lost also, Georgia won’t matter.
The voting laws and process itself should be changed wherever Republicans can do it to prevent fraud. Vote-by-mail should not be allowed except for rare exceptions. I believe voting machines are much more reliable than paper ballots. I believe it was the Democrats who sued to end machines and change us to paper ballots in Pennsylvania a couple years ago, and they probably did it for a reason. Mail-in voting goes beyond fraud, it completely and totally changes the nature of an election in many ways, and makes it far less reliable as a democratic process.
I believe there’s fraud of course, but I don’t know how much. If we can’t prove that there’s enough to change the result of the election, then there shouldn’t be much more time spent claiming that the election was stolen. The public will not believe it and will think the Trump camp are sore losers or conspiracy nuts.
