I’m not sure that is correct; I mean, the 8pm is correct, except I think it is 8pm central time.

Several states are in 2 time zones. They are supposed to wait until the later time zone has closed before they report -- but they do not always wait.

Florida
New Hampshire (different precincts close at different times)
Michigan
Texas
North Dakota
Idaho
Oregon

Also, some precinct closings throughout the country may be extended due to equipment problems, etc., so the exact times may vary.

I feel your pain, but I still cast my vote for Trump and the entire Republican down ticket as I am sure you did as well.

I am in an area (Union county) filled with biden signs on the lawns of some very expensive houses. I can only think that they are hoping that the SALT deduction is restored under a biden admin since they can no longer deduct their hefty ($20-$30K) annual property tax bills.

Of course, this would be offset by the massive tax increases in other areas under a biden admin.
