Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said the chances are "50-50" that Republicans lose control of the upper chamber with just five days to go until the Nov. 3 election.
It's a 50-50 proposition. We have a lot of exposure. This is a huge Republican class," McConnell, R-Ky., said Wednesday during a campaign stop in Kentucky. "There are dogfights all over the country."
Republicans are fighting to hold a slim 53-47 majority in the Senate as Democrats target several GOP-held seats they believe are competitive. In order to take back the Senate, Democrats would need to pick up three additional seats and win the White House.

It certainly will result in the death of the Swamp Republican Party.
I think that’s a “get out the vote” answer.
I hate Mitch. What a moron. Quite the defeatist.
If the GOP-e listened to voters instead of donors, they would have picked up seats in ‘16 and wouldn’t be in trouble now.
Yes it is. One thing McConnell does very well is to know where the vote count stands ...
No doubt many have been threatened. I suppose the trade off was the judicial appointments.
His efforts on judges have been good.
His speech on the floor the other night was excellent.
He still leaves me flat most of the time.
It may be partially my fault, but I do think there were so
many missed opportunities that first two years, and that will
always stick with me.
A chance of a life-time, ho mum, I can’t be bothered...
Which ones?
Sounds to me like a fundraising and GOTV pitch.
if republicans stopped acting like democrats they wouldnt have a problem...
We will see how large Trumps coattails are...
Trump said pretty much the same thing the other day.
Perhaps it’s the truth or perhaps it’s the official GOTV answer.
I'm gettin' to feel like Sarah Palin.
Jeez, it’s just campaign rhetoric. I get emails that say the same thing from Mitch, Cornyn, et al. It means they want more money from us in the form of contributions.
I think thats a get out the vote answer.
I agree.
I hate Mitch. What a moron. Quite the defeatist.

He doesnt want complacency to set in.
As much as many around here hate Lindsey Graham, we still need him to be be re-elected in the Senate unless you prefer to lose the Senate and replace McConnell with Schmuckie Schumer.
And it was McConnell who got us through the impeachment. The guy knows his stuff...it's called experience. He trods quietly and gets the job done.
Maybe it was a get out the vote message but it could have been it much better. The Inspirational theme is not IT could go either way. The inspirational theme is we have a lot of tough fights, but we can win every single one of them if our voters get out and vote and get their family and friends to vote, too.
Trump has coattails for my vote, but all my money goes to ONLY Trump himself.
