I posted article about John Piper’s opinion. And it’s stunning to me how some in the Christian world are taking him more seriously than even Catholics take the pope! Isn’t Protestantism all about individual conscience before God? Who cares what Piper says?! He’s totally depraved like everyone else. And could actually learn a thing or two from Trump’s better qualities.

I was born Protestant but, for about two years, I have been studying Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy. I admit to despising Pope Francis, but I love the Catholic Church.
I have taken notice at how some freepers absolutely worship John Piper. Personally, I despise the idea of “Superstar” preachers such as Piper. For example, my mom practically worships John Hagee. I’m no fan of Hagee but I dare not express that fact because, if I do, my mother will become hysterical and tell me that I’m going to Hell.

Protestantism should be about: "What sayeth the Word"? - Sola scriptura and all.

Martin Luther's conscince wouldn't allow him to deny what the Bible plainly states is true. But Luther's conscience didn't determine what is true.
