I was born Protestant but, for about two years, I have been studying Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy. I admit to despising Pope Francis, but I love the Catholic Church.
I have taken notice at how some freepers absolutely worship John Piper. Personally, I despise the idea of “Superstar” preachers such as Piper. For example, my mom practically worships John Hagee. I’m no fan of Hagee but I dare not express that fact because, if I do, my mother will become hysterical and tell me that I’m going to Hell.

What they emphasize about Christ, and the different ways each put the faith into practice and offer a window into the Kingdom. — Like appreciating all the different traditions of music for example! From Gregorian chant to African-American spirituals.
