Former Vice President Joe Biden is promising that, if elected, he would urge state and local governments to issue mask mandates nationwide.
The Democrat nominee, who has shifted on his support for a federal mask mandate, told supporters in Delaware on Friday that it was vital for the government to implement a “national strategy to position our country to finally get ahead of this virus.” As part of the strategy, the former vice president promised not only to get a spending bill, that deals with both the economic and public safety aspects of the novel coronavirus, through Congress by January, but also to push for comprehensive mask mandates.
“I’ll go to every governor and urge them to mandate mask-wearing in their states,” he said. “If they refuse I’ll go to the mayors and county executives and get local masking requirements in place nationwide.”
Biden added that his administration would “mandate mask-wearing in all federal buildings and all interstate transportation” since “masks” have been proven to “save lives.”
“Wearing a mask is not a political statement. It’s a scientific imperative.

If you are predisposed to suffer harm from illnesses then by all means wear your mask.
Now on the other hand if you’re just scared of the much talked about and much publicized fake Chinese Wihan bat flu then wear it proud. Your face diaper doesn’t matter to me .

A cloth mask filters 65-85% of airborne particles that carry the virus. While it will not 100% prevent infection, it reduces the viral load and your chances of contracting the disease. And if you’ve got it, it reduces the chances you’ll spread it.
Choose to wear one, or not.

The left has now made facemasks a symbol of leftist virtue. The health aspects no longer has any epidemiological meaning to them.
If wearing a mask makes you feel better then wear it, because that is all it’s doing is making you feel better.
Question: where are the red biohazard disposal bags for these used masks? The blue surgical mask not only is ineffective for viruses but is single use and should be disposed of in a medical waste container. Haven’t seen one yet any where
N95s deal with particles smaller than their filter a different way. Look up Brownian motion. Also, the goal isn’t to filter virions in some sort of gas phase of matter. It’s to stop aerosolized droplets, which are larger.
N-95 filters 95% of 0.3 micron particles. The virus particles are 0.125 microns. But that's hardly the point. N-95 makes spreading worse if the wearer has COVID and others have no mask. Thus N-95 is inappropriate in almost any non-medical setting. What you should be asking is what is the average droplet size for speaking and what percentage of droplets are stopped by various mask types like surgical and cloth.

As a female senior citizen, I think you are categorically wrong! There are millions of us who avoid wearing the masks as much as possible, and having lived through a real epidemic (polio) we think this is all ridiculous. And, by the way, there are plenty of men who have bought into the hysteria.
In fact the reason YOU have to wear a mask is because of the many many many men in positions of authority, democrats, who have mandated this, and of course a few women.
Quit blaming women for what men are forcing on all of us!
Hey, my wife and I are in our 70s and we refuse to wear facial diapers because we have not succumbed to the hysteria and panic which has become a religion for some people. Look at the masses wearing these things. It’s pathetic.
The virus is the only thing Biden has left to run on. He says Trump does not have a plan, and that he has a plan. And when he explains his plan, it is what Trump has been doing, and a lot more, besides.
Texas is being inundated with dems. Got a notice that my area has more than ususl. Never doubted this would happen. We know how they work.
I’m 70. I don’t wear a mask unless I can’t get away without one. I play in our church worship group Two or three times a week. . I don’t wear a mask. No one does.
A mask can pick up virons that would normally go into your mouth and be immediately expelled. If they get on your mask they are going to hang around and be breathed in and out all day until they attach themselves to your lungs. And the mask will pick up more and more virons if you are around more people.
People who wear masks all day are more likely to get infected by people who don’t. 80% of Covid cases are found on people who religiously wear them. Do the math.
Wear it if you want. But treat it like medical waste if you do. Change it after every contact with another human being. And burn it. It’s medical waste.
also, I noticed 3 biden signs and a dem sign, all in approx. 2 block area of many homes. So, I figure the ones without no signs are all for TRUMP!
