Democratic challenger Mark Kelly has a narrow lead over incumbent Republican Martha McSally in Arizonas hotly contested U.S. Senate special election race.
A new Rasmussen Reports telephone and online survey of Likely Voters in Arizona shows Kelly edging McSally 46% to 44%. Five percent (5%) like some other candidate, while another five percent (5%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Among the 57% who say they have already voted, Kelly has a sizable 57% to 37% lead.
Ninety-six percent (96%) say they are certain to vote in this election. Kelly leads by two - 47% to 45% - among these voters.
She is, but I will still vote for her. I have written to her re: pummeling Kelly on his anti-gun stance, but so far as I know, she has not. BIG mistake, as he is vulnerable there.
Did she win? Will they have mail in ballots this election?
The governor appointed the loser of an election to fill the seat, just as I stated. I think that takes a special kind of cluelessness.
The trend is that Kelly is in decline.
I sincerely hope Trump can drag her butt over the finish line. Might be worth another trip to Arizona for some help with that.
I’m even willing to accept Nikki Haley’s endorsement of her if that will help.
The two places McSally needs help are with Republican women (Haley might be able to help here) and Independents - Trump can definitely help there.
and POUND POUND POUND Mark Kelly for being a gun grabber and a cop hater and a China sellout....but especially for being a vicious gun grabber.
That's all you need to know. This isn't a case where a GOP candidate lost a close race in an overwhelmingly Democratic state. That's what happened with Rudy Giuliani when he ran for mayor of NYC in 1989. He lost a very close race in a city where there are hardly any registered Republicans. That made him the clear favorite to run again in 1993 -- which he did successfully.
Losers like McSally should know when to walk away. Even Roy Moore has vanished from public view after losing on of the "reddest" states in the U.S.
She actually won on election day. The democrat stole it after the election by “finding” democrat ballots in the trunks of cars and such - remember?
They shouldn’t have appointed anyone who could give them a close election, though. If it’s close, they can steal.
Arizona will vote again for the same senate seat in 2022.
the kind of moron that thinks he’s going to primary her in 2022 after he’s done being governor. however, he completely shot himself in the foot by letting his inner uber-karen out over the chy-nah virus. he completely torpedoed any possibility of a political future

Being down 2 points is probably within/close to the margin of error on the poll in question. That doesn't look like "terribly" anything.
I hate to say it, but I kept hearing the "terribly unpopular" stuff up in Colorado years ago, when the GOP there was self-destructing. Everybody had their own little 'purity test', and if the Republican candidate(s) didn't measure up, they would sit on their butts & complain (or worse, attack the candidate, which Ronald Reagan warned against). So even in 'Red wave' years like 2010, the CO GOP managed to seize defeat from the jaws of victory (which is how Chickenlooper got re-elected).
Bottom line: if people would spend more time talking about/acting on the fact that Kelly is a walking, talking hazard to the Constitution, and less time complaining about the Republican candidate, she'd probably be leading right now. She's basically applying for a job, not wanting to marry your son or pastor your church. With that in mind, I've looked at her qualifications vs. "ChiCom" Kelly's, and I've sent he money 4 or 5 times since August. Given how important control of the Senate is, I suggest that others do the same...
Wow. This is the best I’ve ever seen McSally poll.
....I dunno....both of these candidates are retired United States Armed Forces pay grade O-6s - McSally is a retired US Air Force full colonel, and Kelly is a retired US Navy captain.. I don’t know to what degree of stupidity it would have been for the both of them to have retired as such relatively high ranks.... Jus’ sayin’ ......
I’ve known a number of O-6s from both Air Force and Navy. They tend to be smart about office politics. But they can be pretty stupid in other ways.
Talking with Baris yesterday. He has McSally under 1 down.
Thats the only way she can hope to win...
Agreed beyond stupid.
It just alienates the middle.. even ones that voted for them last time...
Comes across as dirty pool... have no idea what the governor was thinking...
Only prayer she has is Trumps coattails pulling her over.
If she wins, it will be a very very good night for the GOP all over the place.
But that race wont close for hours after the East Coast.. Collins and James are 2 more to watch. If Collins wins, then expect a great night.. they have thrown everything and the kitchen sink at her since Kavanaugh and if she wins, shows they are in reality going to be impotent across the board.
James is another one, in MI.
I dont know if either of those races will get called quickly, but if they are, then the Dems are looking at an absolute drubbing up and down the ballot.
Yes, momentum is on our side!
