Cancer-stricken talk radio legend Rush Limbaugh provided listeners a somber update on his condition Monday after recent scans showed some progression of cancer, which he said is not dramatic but still a step in the wrong direction.
Limbaugh announced in February that he was diagnosed with advanced lung cancer and had missed several shows this month to undergo treatment.
From the moment you get the diagnosis, theres a part of you every day, OK, thats it, lifes over, you just dont know when, Limbaugh said. So, during the period of time after the diagnosis, you do what you can to prolong life, do what you can to prolong a happy life. You measure a happy life against whatever medication it takes.
Limbaugh, who recently hosted President Trump for a two-hour interview, continued the devastating update on his diagnosis.
Its tough to realize that the days where I do not think Im under a death sentence are over, Limbaugh continued. Now, we all are, is the point. We all know that were going to die at some point, but when you have a terminal disease diagnosis that has a time frame to it, then that puts a different psychological and even physical awareness to it.

I listened to Rush while he was talking about the prognosis today. He was upbeat and showed no signs of surrender. He just laid out the facts of where he is at.
He mentioned a personal relationship with Jesus Christ which is comforting. He still sounds good on the air so far. God bless him.
A few days later I found his radio show and was HOOKED. I tried like crazy to call in. Finally in December 1993 I got through.
Still have the audio tape of that.
This does not sound good about him. Almost like he's preparing us for something.
Here's praying that he will see Trump all the way through term #2 and then some.
All of you need to calm down. Cancer treatment in the 2020s is a road that goes far but is bumpy. Very bumpy at times. Rush just happened to hit a pothole. That’s all.
“A fighting chance” means a fighting chance to live another year.
There are some cancers that don’t even show until it’s too late to do much about them. My dad had stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma. He lived 11 months after diagnosis, and the treatment to allow him to live ths was pure hell.
Rush is trying to prepare people. Take him seriously.
Continuously praying for Rush, hes a National treasure.
Darn! Praying for you Rush!
I listened to his show today, and while it’s serious (it always has been) FOX seems to be trying a bit too hard to make it appear as if Rush us already dead.
Rush from today’s program:
“So we have some recent progression. Its not dramatic, but it is the wrong direction.”
Very nice....I for one thought he was going to beat it - he seemed to be so “up” all the time but missing more air time was a sign...One in a million!!!
Thanks for your post....
Today's entire show is posted on You Tube. You can listen to his complete remarks during the first 20 minutes of the program.
Amongst Rushs many roles, he is Reagans official political heir. So it is only fair we recall actor Reagans best known line. Lets go out and win one for El Rushbo!
Poor snerdly
Thank you for your post.
Wonderful post!
Thank You!! 8-)
Rush said Monday he has a very strong relationship with Christ. Hes just very private about his spiritual beliefs.
That’s nice of you to say but it is of course not realistic.
Pray for him to have peace in this remaining time.
“”Where’d you hear that, Rush Limbaugh??””
Well said...I remember those days when people bashed him and I asked if they’d ever listened to him. I started listening to him when he was in Sacramento. The answer I always got was “No - can’t stand him”. They never had an explanation of how they knew they couldn’t stand him if they never listened to him. I was on vacation one year in the late ‘80’s and I asked my brother that question and that was the answer I got. It never had to make sense to the people making such asinine statements - dems all!!
Amen, well-stated. For Christians there is a wonderful hope for what lays ahead beyond this world. It’s all based on the finished work of Christ Jesus, not on other godly thoughts and feelings.
