Ok I’m going out on a limb here.....I grew up in an era like many here did when engineers and technology people who worked for the Bell systems or Westinghouse or GE or Brown and Root or various defense contractors or Skunkworks type stuff or Los Alamos or IBM or Xerox and so on were by and large conservative people ....very likely to be.

When did that change ...Los Alamos now votes Left, Huntsville and Oak Ridge both similar communities also have large left leaning smart blocs....high rate of post grads.....Huntsville vote for Hillary was twice the state average

Today one can depend on Tech to be leftist.....

I think it’s generational and today’s tech is a different animal which draws different talent maybe....

Many of these firms have essentially kids running them...
