What exactly will yet more sworn testimony accomplish? More “It’s just a coincidence that all of our innocent mistakes are in the same direction”? More empty promises to do better? More opportunity for political grandstanding?
Either pass new laws or don’t. Additional bloviating by both sides will accomplish nothing.
