What exactly will yet more sworn testimony accomplish? More “It’s just a coincidence that all of our innocent mistakes are in the same direction”? More empty promises to do better? More opportunity for political grandstanding?
Either pass new laws or don’t. Additional bloviating by both sides will accomplish nothing.
No laws will pass as a result since we don’t control the House.
They may intimidate them into backing down, but if they don’t not much can really be done at this point.
Well, putting the directors and upper management in chains doing hard labor for a few months might get their attention.
The House and Senate *CAN* each individually do this if they really want to.
