Sen. John Kennedy refers to Ibram X. Kendi as ‘some butthead professor’ at ACB confirmation hearing

It was late September when Twitchy reported on Boston University Professor Ibram X. Kendi, author of “How to Be an Antiracist,” and his decision to weigh in on Amy Coney Barrett’s two children she adopted from Haiti. Kendi posited that some white colonizers adopt black children to “civilize” them in the ways of white people, and then use them as props “in their lifelong pictures of denial, while cutting the biological parents of these children out of the picture of humanity.”

Kendi didn’t specially call Barrett a colonizer; he claims he was just making the point that you can adopt children of color and still be a racist. He was just throwing that out there in the context of Barrett’s nomination.

Sen. John Kennedy referred back to that “white colonizer” tweet at Barrett’s confirmation hearing by referring to Kendi as “some butthead professor at Boston University.”

It’s a good line but I’ve never really trusted Kennedy. Oxford-educated elitist and life long Dem who only switched parties because you can’t win federal office in Louisiana as a Democrat.

I sometimes forget to include JNK as one of the few reasonable US Senators.

I need to correct my behavior...

Every time senator Kennedy is on a TV interview, I find him extremely intelligent and logical and eloquent, better than any other republican politician.

I can’t find any reason at all Kennedy has given to not trust him. Every single Republican over 50 in Louisiana was once a Democrat.

LOL. I heard that as I listened to it throughout the day on c-span.org while working. I didn’t know who he was referring to though. This iirc was shortly after he was talking about Bluto from animal house having no convictions.

Love Senator John Kennedy. Besty line of the day was when he said, “I want the record to note that I landed this plane with 26 seconds left.”

In 1979, he earned a Bachelor of Civil Law degree with first class honours from Oxford University (Magdalen College) in England, where he studied under Sir Rupert Cross and John H.C. Morris.[3][4]

"Some butthead professor at Boston University says..."

I LIKE him!

He’s far from an elitist. And he’s brilliant. He switched parties to reflect his views. Trump was a Democrat & contributed to the Schumer, Clinton campaigns. He was once pro-abortion. He’s a billionaire.
Do you trust Trump?
This purity demand among conservatives is stupid.

My two favorite guys in D.C. are John Kennedy and Louis Gohmert. They tell it like it is!

Every time senator Kennedy is on a TV interview, I find him extremely intelligent and logical and eloquent, better than any other republican politician.

During the RNC, one of the Fox hosts had Sen. Kennedy on. The senator and the host (don't remember who) were discussing the pro-America slant of the RNC vs the anti-American slant of the DNC from the previous week. Sen. Kennedy said "to listen to those democrat speakers, they spoke of being born American as something they had to overcome". That succinctly and eloquently summed up the differences between the two parties.

Kendi is your typical African American Studies imbecile.

His degrees are the equivalent of toilet paper.

Maybe it was the Democrat party itself that changed.

My father was a good, loving man, and a lifelong Democrat. He’s probably been rolling in his grave for decades over what the party has become.

I’ve never personally liked the idea of a two-party system at all; I don’t like the dichotomization of very complex issues in the ways that we have been doing, and that’s why I’ve always been - as they call me in my state - ‘unaffiliated’.

But at least, in the old days, there were democrats we could count on to be honest and honorable. As the years have gone by, those have become extremely scarce. In fact, I can’t think of one at all, right now, who is a real statesman and not just a political hack.
