President Trump’s cutting back on campaign commercials in some of the key Midwestern battlegrounds that helped him win the White House four years ago – and shifting resources to a bunch of crucial swing states further south.
The president’s re-election campaign has dropped roughly $2 million in ad reservations in Michigan and Wisconsin since last month, according to Advertising Analytics , Medium Buying, and Kantar Media’s Campaign Media Analysis Group , three leading ad tracking firms. Trump narrowly won the two states in 2016, breaking a quarter century long winning streak by Democrats.

You are correct in that current polls, voting history, etc
determine which ones you need to spend your money
on at this late stage.
The object is to get 270 Electoral Votes no matter where they
come from. That puts you in office and in President Trumps’s
situation this is his last term. So spend your money where the
best chances of getting the votes you need are located.
Also I’d bet the barn that Trump’s campaign cash is invested in GOTV and a ground game.

lock up the sun belt and southern states with early voting
then shift to the rust belt and barnstorm like crazy the last week (remember the midnight rally in MI?)
GOTV is strong in the rust belt (Sleepy Joe is trying to build a ground game in PA and MI to counter) - PA spending up $700K + DC $150K (touches extreme rural parts of PA)
before he got the china virus, Trump was planning to visit both AZ and FL

NV is close. It sounds like a great idea to put money in to try to take the state. The idiot governor is killing business with his Rona mandates and Trump can turn this state back to Red because it's close. Why do you think he made trips out here and Pence here in between?

Folks......there are ZERO undecided voters. Think about it.
Their positions are known. Their campaigns both have websites which all their policy and campaign promises spelled out. Both highly visible public figures.
Harris and Pence have had their obligatory debate.
Internal polls already show each campaign the real numbers down to the key countries in each key state. Frankly, there are NO undecided voters because these campaigns and candidates are miles apart.
The truth is America already knows how it’s going to vote for. No candidate will tell you that but they too already know. Turnout is yet to be decided and that’s the only thing that could change the game at this point. The ground game is in it’s final days.
Trump doesn’t need another debate. He just needs to get supporters to the polls and the Limbaugh virtual event is the beginning.......
These ads are all about getting the base out UNLESS you hear a barrage of negative ads. That means the other candidate is losing and trying to drive down the other guys numbers.
Pay attention to the negative ad ratio..... most of the Trump ads are positive which means he’s reassuring the base. Biden is gone decidedly negative.
I think ads don’t generate votes. Most people either record their TV shows & fast forward through the adds or get up and get a beer, use the john. People get very annoyed hearing the same political ads time after time. POTUS does rallies, messages on you-tube and his social media. Much more effective.
Agreed. The GOTV is having phenomenal results. Ground game “trumps” advertising right now.

MI is far from “in the bag” for Trump. Sure..enthusiasm is high in all the expected counties.
But we better hope those counties counter Detroit, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Pontiac, etc. Which they likely will not.
I’m actually pretty concerned that Trump has pulled advertising from MI. John James is doing well against Peters here. The fact Trump has pulled ads is IMHO not good.
I’d think there would be no need for paid advertisement in Wisconsin since the rioters are doing it for free.
