WSB radio just announced Trump will not participate in the virtual debate next week. That's all I have so far.

Edited to add:

Pres Trump: "I'm not going to waste my time on a virtual debate." Fox Business interview with Maria Bartiromo

And since face diapers are supposed to protect others from getting infected from you, they are saying that masks don’t work....right?

In a virtual debate Joe will have so many off camera cue cards it'll be a complete joke.

Plus you know they will shut Trump's mike off in a heartbeat.

Trump wants a real debate with Joe standing for almost two hours. He wants the real deal.

Biden and his cronies at the commission trying to dictate terms. It’s pure Trump and what has got him to where he is and what conservatives love about him that he finally said with regard to this treatment, forget it.

Knowing what is going on, I think this is a reasonable response.

If they move forward then I’d like to insist they have ‘Debate Watchers’ similar to poll watchers.

It is the only way they won’t cheat.

Agreed. A virtual debate helps Biden.

I hope this is part of some super great strategy that I just can’t see.

Well I can guess at a possible strategy. The immediate effect is the Left convincing itself that Trump is afraid to do another debate after getting trounced by Biden. The secondary effect is that the expectations will be high for the third debate on Biden--the opposite of the expectations for first debate, and interest in watching it will be very high--which is ripe for Trump to move the needle on last debate before election day.

Trump should keep testing and announce by then that he’s had 3 negative COVID tests, so the town hall was cancelled on false premises.

I don’t see the need for it to be virtual, except for Biden’s handlers to feed him info. Trump already has antibodies and they can just ask for negative test results prior from both. But no. The ‘commission’ is on Biden’s team.

The Debate Commission seems to be as biased as the Federal Election Commission that never seems to investigate coordinated voter fraud (not just ballot stuffing by union goons but precinct judges, county officials, etc.) or voter intimidation (beatdowns, murder, etc. of Trump supporters).

A virtual debate will be completely rigged. Moderator will have freedom to cut off Trump any time he or she wants and Biden will have all his answers in front of him.

Dems are also saying that the 12 foot separation distance of candidates doesn’t work either.

The format and moderator was flawed from the beginning. Town Halls used to work in quaint New England towns when 80 or 100 people showed up and they all knew each other and had to live and work with each other the next day. National town halls do not exist in reality and the metaphor gets lost in translation along with the left seeding the audience with questions. It is all theater.

The moderator is a leftist and once again Trump would be battle against two. Now if the debate is going to be virtual they are taking away a strength of PDJT. Despite having the China Flu, PDJT is strong, vigorous and imposing. Biden is frail and weak. To be very blunt, he's been a pussy all of his life. A virtual debate partly neutralizes PDJT's strengths and Biden's weaknesses.

That is at issue, and as for the last minute rule changes - you don't allow your opponent to change the rules in the 4th quarter just because he is losing. This is a clear sign the Biden got his ass kicked in the last debate and despite polls, he is losing.
