The White House said Friday that President Donald Trump was suffering “mild symptoms” of COVID-19, adding that he was in good spirits and working in the family quarters though the announcement of his illness threw the country deeper into uncertainty just a month before the presidential election.
The revelation came in a Trump tweet about 1 a.m. after he had returned from an afternoon political fundraiser without telling the crowd he had been exposed to an aide with the disease that has killed more than 205,000 Americans and more than a million people worldwide.
First lady Melania Trump also tested positive, the president said, and several others in the White House have, too, prompting concern that the White House or even Trump himself might have spread the virus further. The Trumps' son Barron, who lives at the White House, tested negative.
Trump has spent much of the year downplaying the threat of the virus, rarely wearing a protective mask and urging states and cities to “reopen” and reduce or eliminate shutdown rules.
Both Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris have tested negative, their campaign said. Vice President Mike Pence tested negative for the virus Friday morning and “remains in good health,” his spokesman said.
Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Amy Coney Barrett, who was with him and many others on Saturday and has been on Capitol Hill meeting with lawmakers, also tested negative, the White House said.
Trump's diagnosis was sure to have a destabilizing effect in Washington and around the world, raising questions about how far the virus has spread through the highest levels of U.S. government. Hours before Trump announced he had contracted the virus, the White House said a top aide who had traveled with him during the week had tested positive.

If anyone needs a ventilator, they need to be in a hospital ICU. I call it fake news.
Comorbities include age and BMI over 30. So, yes, he has risk factors. We don’t need to be afraid, but we definitely need to be praying for him!
Ronna McDaniel has the virus..she met with Trump on Saturday for to introduce Barrett..McDaniel’s relative in Michigan also has the virus, I wonder if Ronna was the original carrier of this after she got it from her relative..just trying to connect the dots to see when they were all infected

Lol. These people! And to think that there are conservatives who believe we can have an honest debate with them. There is no honest debate, no serious conversation, nothing of the sort. If you find yourself wanting “to be fair” with them, you should examine that. That’s just wanting to lose while being self-satisfied. The honest debate and respectful dialogue ended a long time ago.
Well I saw him last night at the Alfred dinner a clip anyway and he looked great and not lethargic at least that is what I saw.
Sniffles and a sore throat, a little hoarseness.
He needs bed rest for 48 hrs, but I doubt they can keep him down that long.

Not necessarily, it is the president after all. I’m sure there is a way to provide any medical care, including critical care, needed on site. But IF this story is even true, I am sure it is just a precaution. I believe he will be fine, but he needs our prayers. I have been praying for him constantly today.
Hopefully the symptoms will remain mild and he will have a quick recovery. GO TRUMP GO

I’m sure the DNC is right about now beginning to disseminate their narrative to the media, a narrative which Pelosi, Schumer and their cronies developed this morning. They probably had one of Biden’s people in on the conference call, too.
I think we will start to hear this afternoon that if the President is unwell and showing symptoms, then he must, out of concerns of national security, hand over power to Pence.
They will keep ramping that up until Trump shows he can appear live on video, which I expect him to do, unless he develops a cough. I don’t think you want to be on video coughing. A pre-recorded video will not help, it must be live.
They will want to make him look weak and powerless. They are already rolling out the, “he ignored science,” motif.

One would think that the White House is equipped with a medical ward. Probably the best in the world and the medical equipment would include a ventilator.
