Because of the mask mandate, I have decided not to take a cross-country trip that I had planned. I would have to be wearing a mask from the time I checked in until the time I picked up my luggage at my destination, which would be about nine hours.

Carry snacks aboard the plane. Have a large water bottle with straw you can fill up after going through security. Cannot mask when eating or drinking and with the straw you can look like you are drinking.
