The confirmation battle to fill Justice Ginsburg's seat could be apocalyptic. Here's the strategy behind some of the president's top contenders.
President Donald Trump will make his third nomination to the Supreme Court on Saturday. The initial plan was to make the nomination very quickly following the death of Associate Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg last Friday, but it has been delayed so that the country may properly mourn the justice known for her support of liberal social causes. Ginsburg was appointed by President Bill Clinton 27 years ago. A reliable vote for the left block of the court, she was also beloved by her fellow justices for her friendship and sparkling wit.
Filling the vacancy is a priority for conservatives, many of whom have been frustrated by Republican presidents repeatedly squandering judicial nominations on justices who disappoint. One in four Trump voters said that they voted for him in 2016 because of how important the Supreme Court was. President Trump had put out a list of potential nominees and promised to pick from that list. He did so when he nominated associate justice Neil Gorsuch to the bench. Later he updated the list with associate justice Brett Kavanaugh and other candidates. Just weeks ago he updated it again. He has said the next nominee will be a woman.
While Democrats and NeverTrump adherents have begged Republicans not to fill the seat, some threatening to pack the court or otherwise retaliate if the Constitutional process proceeds, Republican voters and those they elected have declined to pursue failure as their first strategy.
Most observers believe that the top two contenders are Judge Amy Coney Barrett and Judge Barbara Lagoa. Heres a quick look at both, along with a non-female on the list who might be worth considering.

It would be extremely helpful to know how Barrett and Lagoa would vote on a whole range of immigration issues: travel restrictions, visa overstays, preemptory removals of illegals with minimal delays, DACA, anchor babies, etc., etc.
These are huge issues for our future as a republic.
Thank you for this.
Trump has already said he will nominate a woman
Put money on Barrett. Shes already been confirmed by the senate. Just vote
“I must have missed their staunch defense of the Second Amendment. Most important issue of this nomination, skipped completely.”
That person on the list would be Britt Grant, but the single issue (abortion) and global religion (Catholic) folks screened her out with noise.
Britt Grant was Solicitor General of Georgia and one of the filers of the brief against an AR-15 ban. She’s also shown herself with her work to be conservative on the other important issues.
What our political opponents (Democrats) think of Britt Grant (see other issues including Homosexual marriage, abortion, etc.):

Britt Grant (Eleventh Circuit) argued that a city ordinance prohibiting possession of AR-15 style weapons or large-capacity magazines violated the Second Amendment.

Britt Grant is also the one who has shown herself to be conservative in regards to immigration issues.
But sponsors of Fox News have apparently chosen the nominee for the President. Out of a barrage of articles over the past couple of days, here’s the latest.

“Here’s what they had to say about the process and the presumptive pick Amy Coney Barrett...Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee that will approve the nominee, spoke with Fox News about Barrett and Barbara Lago’s Catholic faith. She said Democrats are willing to vilify these women based on their spirituality, in an effort to derail Trumps nominee out of spite.”
If you scroll down to where it says, “Barrett, Circuit Judge, dissenting” and read through it very carefully, you’ll see that it’s not what others claimed it to be.

"While Democrats joined with Republicans to support her recent nomination to the federal bench, it is likely Democrats would go after her for lack of experience or qualifications."
She received only token opposition there. There is great opposition from the dims for Britt Grant.
Im a Lagoa man myself. Shes also been confirmed by the Senate to the Circuit Court
Is Mike Lee a WOMAN?
Plants all along by deepstate types
Still unknown quantity. No major decisions. To little time on court
Im ok with either one
He acts like it sometimes.
Did you see his performance at the GOP convention in 2016?
Thanks, I had never seen a picture of her, she is an attractive woman.
