The Department of Justices (DOJ) probe into the origins of the Russia investigation is also looking into how the FBI handled allegations of political corruption at the Clinton Foundation, sources told The New York Times.
Attorney General William Barr appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham to lead the investigation. He reportedly sought documents and interviews about how federal law enforcement officials handled an investigation into the Clinton Foundation, a nonprofit led by former President Bill Clinton and former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.
Sources told the Times that Durham is comparing the FBIs investigation into alleged bribery at the Clinton Foundation with the investigation into President Trumps 2016 campaigns communications with Russian adversaries.
Those involved with the investigation described the move to compare the two as unusual and suggesting a political motive. Barr and other supporters of the president have said the two investigations show a double standard the FBI upheld leading up to the 2016 election.

Lotsa promises never any results
Have the Clintons sunk so low as to deal with Putin?
Well, we know that she revised 5 years of taxes. She also gave $1 mil to the Fund and wrote it off.
HAHAHA! Perfect!
They said theyll get right on it!
And then laughed uproariously.
.
Is Durham the only attorney at DOJ?
1) Maybe he’s the only one Barr trusts.
2) Maybe it’s easier to keep one attorney quiet than two.
3) Nobody else wanted the hit to their reputation.
4) There are synergies to merging the two investigations.
I’m voting for 2).
