New polls show an erosion of support for Black Lives Matter, with a majority of Americans saying they believe a war is being waged against police officers.
Separate surveys by Pew Research and by Fox News found that support for BLM has dropped more than 10 percentage points in just a few months, Summit News reported.
Pew said that as "racial justice protests have intensified following the shooting of Jacob Blake, public support for the Black Lives Matter movement has declined."
The polling company found that 55% now express at least some support for the movement, down from 67% in June.
The share who say they strongly support the movement is 29%, down from 38% three months ago.
Pew said the decline in support for BLM is particularly notable among white and Hispanic adults.
In June, 60% said they supported the movement at least somewhat. Now, only 45% express at least some support.
The share of Hispanic adults who support BLM has decreased 11 percentage points, from 77% in June to 66% today.

As people learn more about Black Lives Matter,how they are run by Marxists, believe in smashing the traditional family, defunding police, think rioting can be justified because property owners have insurance, etc., then people become opposed to that organization.
Part of their “support” is based on fear of being called racist if you would oppose an organization called “Black Lives Matter”. But when people learn what that organization actually stands for, support for them declines.
Deleting the honest stance of destroying America on their original online mission statement was a start.
They also need a soft voiced, courteous and affable BLM spokesperson to go on The View and other shows and get a lot of memorized applause lines out. A modern Sidney Poitier or a female version.
I think a few examples about the truth escaped the media censorship. People said “But I like our family” and “But I am not a racist holding them down because I work hard at a job and provide for my children.” “I feel sick inside when I see nice stores being vandalized, looted and burned.”
Then some polls showed the slippage.
Turns out BLM is anti American and really doesn’t matter any more. BLM has destroyed American cities. It’s work id done. Mission accomplished.

What clever geniuses they were. They created a hate-America, black supremacy, neo-marxist group and named it Black Lives Matter, then made everyone forget that it was the name of a group and turned it into a slogan. So, by affirming that black lives matter, they were forcing the folks into supporting the neo-marxist group.
They are skilled at manipulating minds, these marxists.
Now many of the folks are seeing through the mask.
Most blacks don’t support its agenda either - 81% oppose defunding police.
Most people don’t support BLM if they know what it stands for - defunding police, admitted communism by its own leadership, ending marriage and family, etc.
BLM is a Marxist political organization. Once the people learn this they don’t support BLM or the media that has been lying about it.
Wordsmithing and catchy slogans are used to easily hoodwink the masses. Those that fall for it are usually the ones to complain when it comes knocking on their door. Our very government is a master at it.
After all the mayhem in Minneapolis, Kenosha, Seattle and Portland, no wonder BLM support has nosedived.

And how are people to learn when no one will teach them, or, as in the case of the media, mis-informs the people.

I seriously doubt even 45% of hispanics approve of BLM. I can read Spanish and reading the comments sections on Youtube has been an eye opener (this is usually on non-political videos involving sports or movies or travel). They do not like being grouped together with that group and their view of BLM and the riots is the same as everyone on the Free Republic. The ones that have been here less that 20 years really have no loyalty to either part - but vote Democrat based solely on one issue, maybe two. Republicans really need to make a grass roots push, especially for Hispanic men (and the women will often follow suit).
But 90% of annoying white 20-something women still support
I somewhat support BLM so please, please, please don’t hurt me or my family or burn down my business or my home.
