Manhattan's district attorney on Monday said the 'mountainous' allegations of misconduct linked to President Donald Trump and his businesses justified enforcing a subpoena for his tax returns and other financial records.
The district attorney's office also suggested for the first time Monday that Trump could be investigated for tax fraud, according to The New York Times.
Lawyers for District Attorney Cyrus Vance made the argument in a filing with the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan, four days before it considers Trump's request to block the August 2019 subpoena to his accounting firm Mazars USA.

Yes, and did you know that Justice Kavanaugh drank beer and forced himself on girls, during high school? Say...what DID ever happen to Christine Balsey Ford? Is her voice all better now?
As Limbaugh has said, Dems go by the following when it pertains to their desire to pursue trying to dig up something, anything, on their opponents:
“The seriousness of the allegations requires further investigations!”
ask the manhattans district attorney if his office is willing to have all there tax returns looked at by forensic accountants.....my guess is he would have a revolt in his office going on once the request was given.
“Manhattan’s district attorney says he has grounds to investigate Donald Trump for tax fraud”
In other words, he doesnt have grounds.
“and argues the president’s returns should be released because of ‘mountainous’ allegations of misconduct”
Note that phrase: Allegations of misconduct. Key word: Allegations. Burden of proof is upon his accuser, the district attorney. Nowhere is the defense required to release anything. It is against Trumps 5th amendment right.
I dont know much about the law, but if I were Trump, I’d turn the tqbles on the DA and have him investigated and charged with prosecutorial misconduct of a federal employee.

And do you know what that stuff is used for? Drugs are packed in coffee grounds. The scent throws off the dogs. They finally got him. This is the big one! /S
So if people were to pile up allegations against the DA, then the DA office there can have serious investigations brought against them, having private investigators follow them, dig up stuff, and more?
“Based the the allegations, Trump murders women, children and minorities, drowns kittens, and eats double portions of dessert!”
Thats a lie!
Hes on a diet!
They have mountains or something and plenty of it
Dream on, bitch
That's the BlaseyFord rule.
Enough paid people to make allegations, or a single story with enough social justice drama in it, is to be considered the equivalent of probable cause for an indictment and trial and if the dems get control even those obstacles can be skipped and we can go right to conviction.
I thought the one and only reason in
hiring a tax lawyer was to insure
ones’ self from litigation. It’s the
lawyer who is responsible for any
shady practices representing their
clients. Trump can only go with
what they advise. They supposedly
know, and implement current tax law.
Getting an investigation started allows the perp [the DA] to go for obstruction of justice.
Manhattan DA Cy Vance faces new call to resign for mishandling sex assault cases
With all the leftists who infest the IRS, you can be sure they have already gone through Trump’s returns with a microscope, and have found absolutely nothing.
If they had, it would have been leaked years ago.
For Democrats this is all they need.
I allege that Donald J. Trump is a rich businessman, a Republican and Rich.
That is all they need to investigate him for tax fraud and tax evasion.
That is a mountain of evidence to the Democrats.
When you sign a tax return, regardless of who prepared it you are saying that it is correct.
You are wholly responsible if it is wrong.
You can sue the tax attorney for damages but that wont get you out of jail.
Open the durham flood gates and lets get these criminals indicted, enough
Vance was first elected in 2009.
Note the timing.
The interesting thing about Vance has always been the cases that don’t get prosecuted.
Meanwhile in reality Manhattan’s district attorney is corrupt and should be disbarred.
