Douglas County District Court Judge Shelly Stratman then appointed a special counsel, Fredrick Franklin, an assistant U.S. attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Omaha, to handle the case, though they said they expected the same outcome.

(snip) Franklin is the President of the Midlands Bar Association, an organization for only black attorneys.

On Friday, a judge signed off on an arrest warrant for Gardner, on counts of manslaughter, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, attempted first-degree assault and making terrorist threats. It was clear to anyone paying attention that the charges were political.

I haven’t been to a bar in decades but people like this owner have to be supported by local Trump supporters. I really hope something like that happens.

Sounds like the judge and DA need a good doxing.

Anarcho-tyranny plain and simple.

The government failed to do their job and protect his business from violent rioters. Then, when forced to defend himself because of this government failure, he was tyrannized with prosecution for doing so.

This is despicable, and at minimum AUSA Frederick Franklin needs to be fired, and the judge impeached.

Word to the wise... If you value your sanity, do not, I repeat: do NOT visit the thread on this subject over on FARK.com

I don’t think I have ever seen that level of dancing on someone’s grave in my entire 48 years on this planet. Not even the death of genocidal dictators have provoked reactions that ugly.

Why was he found dead in Portland? Why drive across country to commit suicide?

Something does not add up.

Gardner should have executed Shelly Stratman and Fredrick Franklin before offing himself.

Heartbreaking for his family.

Happy now, lefties? No, you will never be happy. Hatred and selfishness are the wheels on your bicycle.

How profoundly sad! Jake Gardner was plainly just a decent guy trying to earn a living, protect his business (that the police in Omaha refused to do) and protect himself and his family (which, again, the Omaha PD failed to do). That he spent probably $20,000 to build a separate restroom for transgendered people is indicative of TOLERANCE, not hatred or phobia - it was transparently an (extremely costly) attempt to keep all customers happy, not to discriminate against anyone. No one spends money like that to say, “you’re not welcome here” - quite the opposite is true.

Jake’s family should sue every official involved.

And that terrorist Jakeen freak should be held responsible. Preferably by some if Jake’s buddies from the military.

Didn’t I hear that either this DA or some other horrid NE judge actually praised and celebrated in video this man’s suicide??

Unethical, moral-less sinners, this is who we have judging us.
