Five more countries are seriously considering peace deals with Israel, the White House has announced, as a close confidant to the King of Bahrain claimed Gulf states now regard the Jewish state as their most important ally in the region.
Mark Meadows, the White House Chief of Staff, told reporters on Air Force One that five countries hoped to follow the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain in normalising their relations with Israel, but did not name them.
He was likely referring to Oman and Saudi Arabia in the Gulf region, while there is also intense speculation that Sudan in North Africa is close to taking that historic step.
It came as a special advisor to the King of Bahrain said in an interview with the Telegraph that the Gulf states believe Israel could be better suited than Washington in helping them achieve their regional goals.
"I think perhaps there is the beginning of a reduction in the dependency on the US and a shift over to Israel now," said Marc Schneier, who was appointed to the role in 2018.
"Its so much more accessible, to turn to an ally, a regional partner, if there are any concerns - whether its from a military point of view or an economic point of view. And I think youre now going to see that shift."

And it is most certainly in US interests to keep nudging this accord along.
This is a tremendous shift in momentum and direction. If it turns out to be real and lasting it will be the biggest development since the fall of the Berlin Wall and the evil empire. And it will have all happened on Trumps initiative..
Hat’s off to Trump and Kushner.
Yes, Kushner did the work behind the scenes. The State Department “diplomatic corps” was largely left out. On purpose. They suck.
Kushner.
(I can hear some freeper heads exploding)
nancy pelousy will still call it insignificant, with the media in full collusion mode.

While I believe USA remains ultimately committed to defending the region ( including people and resources), the more the locals can handle things the better. The Arabian dictatorship can take back its fakestinian Occupiers of Israeli territory that scheme has failed. The Arabians know how to handle the fakestinians too. Israel is one of the best sources of technology, medicine, agricultural expertise which can improve the lives of all in the region. And the countries can work together defending against Iran and Turkey ( as well as the Muslim Murder gangs like Hezbollah hamas alQaida and the Muslim brotherhood. Lots of good outcomes
This is what Dumbya predicted would happen immediately after toppling Saddam.
They can have their differences, and, I believe, one of them could whip all of them (again), however, between the inasanities called Iran and Turkey, both of whom would like to be the new Ottoman HQ, I think the other states would like to be left alone, collectively.
The S-I-L did good. Deserves credit
They will still be a serious threat, though - at least until the hardliners die off.
Also, Israel has nukes ready to go now, to defend in the event of a potential Iranian nuclear breakout.
America in Kamala Harris’ hands might throw the Gulf Arabs to the wolves, like Obama/Biden did to Iraq.
Diversification is vital, when survival is at stake.
They may be motivated to get these deals locked in, before a Dem/Communist gets elected in the USA, and puts a halt to them.
The Arab states involved are probably very worried about a possible Biden victory which would mean a return to a pro-Iranian foreign policy.

I wonder what the possibilities are of getting Qatar to join in...?
Sometimes I’m thinking they’re low given the antipathy between the Saudis and Gulf States towards Qatar. Qatar has also had a less than desirable reputation as being very soft on curtailing terror financing.
Or for that matter, how ‘bout Kuwait?
If the Wahhabi head choppers love Israel, it tells me that I shouldn’t.
Every air base in the region can be eliminated in the space of a few hours. Israel would be stupid to base their planes in the Gulf.
No kidding. You will get posts speculating that Kushner is the antichrist. LOL.
They would never station aircraft in the Gulf.
However, they could rotate through every once in a while.
And they could stage strikes from them as well.
Too many of them side with Muslim terrorists out of misplaced compassion.
The new Saudi leader has been quietly and not so quietly ridding himself of Wahhabists in the last few years.
