A majority of likely U.S. voters believes the country is experiencing a war on police and that politicians should enact policy classifying attacks on cops as hate crimes, according to a new poll.
Released on Thursday, Rasmussen’s polling came amid a wave of calls to defund police and a swell in anti-police sentiment. Since 2018, the percentage of likely voters who believes there’s a war on cops has increased from 43% to 59%.
The latest data represented a slight uptick from the 58% high reported in 2015. Meanwhile, 29% disagreed with that view and 12% reported as undecided. The poll has a 3% margin of error.
Rasmussen conducted the poll with 1,000 likely voters on Sept. 15-16, as news surfaced that police officers were attacked in Los Angeles and other cities. […]
Repubicans are more likely than Democrats to support those laws (80% vs. 39%) and support "Blue Lives Matter" in their state (79% vs. 45%). …

I’m here to tell you, not only did nearly ALL of Yahoo, which is heavily-infested with Huff Po people DISLIKE Joe Biden about the same percentage CHEERED when a BLM rioter was bounced by a police car. I saw the comments; I was a bit surprised by both.
People DO NOT like the Democrat shock troops setting fire to the country and rioting. Even many on the Left.
If the protesters truly wanted justice, they wouldn’t want to get rid of the cops. The Police are the first line of support for equality and justice.
Yeah well, I want to see a law that makes it illegal for cops to stand by and watch as people riot, loot, burn and cause general mayhem. It’s a form of terrorism and they are not protected constitutional rights. Anyone in power that orders cops to stand down when they witness crimes should be punished to the fullest extent of the law, and it should be mandatory that they lose their jobs too. The citizens of the US deserve the protection from criminals that they’re forced to pay for. Mayors and governors should not be free to pick and choose which crimes they can order to be tolerated by law enforcement. They have no right to do that ever.

I think the saying should be different than “Blue Lives MATTER”.
Let them have “ matter”, — part of the reason that they hate “All Lives Matter” and “Blue Lives Matter” is because it was copied from BLM.
Something like Blue Lives Count, or better yet, totally different, such as “LEOs Save Lives” ( lol, that would get them).

The smart people are paying the salaries and likewise deserve the enforcement.
A simple solution. Make forceful resistance of cops a stackable 5 year minimum, added to whatever other sentence handed out. Make sure everyone knows. When they resist, back off and arrest them when they calm down and realize that they messed up. No bail. Straight to the slammer. Just watch how quick they suddenly decide body cam footage is now a bad thing.

Radio news coverage sounded very familiar going back to when the same stuff was happening in New York .Where cops were being murdered as the aftermath of Obama using the Zimmerman trial and the Bully Pulpit creating racial division defending resisting arrests which resulted racial attacks on innocents traversing black neighborhoods and attacks on police officers.
Those so called “protesters” at the those shooting sites defending the shooters in this should be considered accomplices and also held responsible.
People with a stake in this country and society want police (and usually contribute to the maintenance of the police forces); unassimilated dreck that just sees police as an obstacle to a life of crime and violence don’t want them. Many of the protesters are this dreck themselves, or their relatives.
yet we are told that the party of hating cops is way ahead. They also tell us that the candidate who has trouble drawing flies is way ahead of the guy who can draw tens of thousands.
In Virginia, the special session addressing our budget found time to LOWER the penalty for assaulting a police officer.
