The Atlantic‘s Jeffrey Goldberg scored the first post-impeachment interview with Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman on Monday and asked what he described as the “key question”: “Does he believe that Trump is an asset of Russian intelligence?”
Vindman’s answer largely regurgitates left-wing conspiracy theories about Russian influence (original emphasis):

There is one US policy change that would have Putin doing a Cossack kick dance in the halls of the Kremlin. That is elimination of oil and gas fracking and drilling locations. The Russians would be richer from higher prices and they would again be the sole source for Western Europe's natural gas, thus putting Europe at his mercy.
Which US party wants to do Putin's bidding? That's Joe Biden and the Democrats.
