Lindsey Graham battling for reelection against well-funded Democrat

Sen. Lindsey Graham is taking fire from the Right and the Left, a development that has placed the South Carolina Republican in a political quagmire as a challenge to his reelection bid heats up.

Jaime Harrison, Graham’s Democratic opponent, raised more than $20 million during the first six months of the year — enough to mount a credible Senate bid in states far larger than South Carolina. Less than eight weeks before Election Day,

Harrison is using that war chest to flood television airwaves and digital platforms with campaign advertising. Graham has never before faced general-election opposition of this magnitude.

Meanwhile, just after Labor Day, Graham, 65, came under attack from Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

The highly rated television commentator, who has cultivated a loyal following among grassroots Republicans, used his prime-time perch to blame Graham for President Trump’s problematic interview with veteran Washington journalist Bob Woodward. Trump acknowledged privately to Woodward that the coronavirus posed grave risks to the United States even as he minimized the threat to the public. Carlson, bewildered that Trump would talk to Woodward, suggested it only happened because Graham brokered the interview.

Linda should have kept his word and followed through with real investigations. This is the future of our republic that we’re talking about after all.

His toeing the line of supporting/undermining the USA should be coming to an end.

We’re going to have to be rid of these snakes one way or another.

The only way his constituents primary him out will be when he has lost his power as a GOPe.

We need more real conservatives to push these one party, swamp dwelling, Bushie's out of positions of power.

Once they are out position of power, then primary them out.

Meanwhile, many conservatives favor the Democrat over Graham .

The SC voters continue to vote for him in the primaries, knowing what a turncoat he is. If LG loses in November, it’s the fault of the GOP voters. Sadly, EVERYONE will suffer with another RAT in the Senate.

I would love to see do-nothing Lindsey replaced ... but not with a Dem ... in this Senate ... at this time.

You overlook the primary fact. He is a Republican

“You overlook the primary fact. He is a Republican”

He is — sort of. You can’t tell me that there isn’t one more conservative person in all of SC than Miss Lindsey. That old question, “Is that the best you got?”

I think Trump may be able to pull her across the finish line.

I hope you are right, but I am betting on us losing AZ for the first time in 25 years.

No, I think we are going to be hold it due to the Hispanic vote deserting Biden. You note that no one is speaking about the Hispanic vote this year? The Democrats are trying to hold their Black base, which they need to vote at 90% for them. Biden won’t get near that level. At the same time Trump is making inroads among the Hispanic’s. I agree that the GOP Senator is a horrible candidate and it will take a lot to save her.

This interview with a Republican consultant and Trump supporter is a bit circumspect and also highlights that the Trump campaign has pulled ad dollars out of AZ:

We didn’t successfully primary Lindsey, now I have to vote for him.

We can not allow Democrat golden child, Jaime Harrison, occupy a Senate seat from South Carolina. Unthinkable.
