During an interview aired on Monday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Ingraham Angle,” President Donald Trump stated that he does not want his supporters to confront left-wing protesters and that such matters should be left to law enforcement. Trump also stated that his supporters are good people who “can’t believe” the violence they see in some American cities.
Host Laura Ingraham asked, [relevant exchange begins around 5:00] “[D]o you want your supporters to confront the left-wing protesters, or do you want to leave it to law enforcement?”
Trump responded, “No. No, I don’t want them. I want to leave it to law enforcement. But my supporters are wonderful, hard-working, tremendous people. And they turn on their television set, and they look at a Portland, or they look at a Kenosha, before I got involved and stopped it, or they look at Chicago, where 78 people were shot last weekend and numerous people died, or they look at New York, where violence is up by like, what? 150%. … They’re looking at all of this, and they can’t believe it.”

President Trump, if you or governors or mayors or police
chiefs or... don’t do anything, you’re damn well going to
see more of your supporters taking the action the whole lot
of you are shirking.

This is getting worse by the day, and at some point it’s
going to infect too much of the nation.
There are a whole lot of people buying into the BLM
support system out here. Middle-class folks are confused.
Who could blame them when everyone from sports figures to
franchise owners, to stars, to mayors, to governors, and a whole
pastle of folks on capital Hill are singing the praises of
BLM.
And folks who should be taking action, aren’t even talking
about it. Who is voicing damning direct comments about
the violence, the traitors, the terrorists, the insurrectionists?
I know people who have to remain silent at work while the
talk is 100% for BLM and what is going on.
One person I know deals with a hospital data entry system
where the BLM and ANTIFA logos show up on screens they
have to work with.
Local news media is just churning out Leftist drivel by
the oil container ship full.
Our next door neighbor app is filled with social justice
warriors for BLM.
Are you guys aware of that?
What the hell are you folks thinking?
Either stand up to them and lets put this down, or just
turn over the keys and get it over with.
This isn’t one of those deals like a Capital Hill
investigation that goes nowhere as the public becomes
pacified and loses interest.
We’re losing major cities and major corporations.
I still think you are going to win re-election big, but
when you do, there will be big chunks of our nation so
hollowed out by all this, they’ll be no-go zones.
Frankly, this is one citizen who is fed up to here, with
all this.
Too much dying. Too much destruction. Too much
