Polls should be watched for trends. For example, the polls recently have all been heading south for Biden based on the riots. Earlier in the summer, Trump was losing ground in every poll because of some missteps on the China virus.
In the end, turnout is what matters, and that’s why polls can be very misleading. If working class white guys turn out at record levels, Trump will over-perform polls. If pink hat wearing dingbat womyn show up in record numbers, Biden will surprise. It’s the trend, not the raw head-to-head numbers.
I’ve heard that RCP uses a “rolling average poll of polls” to report results.
So that means that polls taken long ago, when Biden was farther ahead, are part of their total “poll of polls” results.
What we know for sure, is that the trend is that Trump is gaining in these polls. That is more important than whatever mathematical calculation they are using.
Of course all of this assumes that they are accurate polls to start with. It seems that a number of polls over sample Democrats, so that such polls wouldn’t be using proper samples in the first place.
Garbage in and garbage out, is what you get with doctored polls.
Exactly. My only reason for posting this was not because I ever believed the BS "Biden is up 9 points in NC" polls, but because I know this trendline is causing real sphincter spasms on the left.

They use THE most illogical method to get their numbers. They give credibility to all the ridiculous OUTLIERS.

Its an an average of a bunch of polls...BLM is an electoral windfall for Trump..keep it up
