I see this as an absolute win. The NBA got so woke, they cancelled themselves.
With this strike, Lebron now has leverage to extort money from the owners towards social justice causes approved by him. It’s a Jesse Jackson style shakedown in action. Commissioner Adam Silver is just as far left and will negotiate a deal to extort the owners to pay for BLM, voting fraud projects, etc.
As long as LeBron doesn’t get another title I’M ECSTATIC!!!

LeBron has so much money, he could pay every Black adult in the U.S. $1000 each to better their lives but does he offer to do this? Of course not because he doesn’t think *he* should make that sacrifice. Neither does Oprah. Neither does Tiger. Neither does Beyonce. Neither does Obama. If poverty is what causes their crime and misery, why aren’t black stars stepping up to do something about it?
The Clippers are thugs. One of them (Morris) intentionally stepped on Doncic’s sprained ankle in Wednesday’s game.
Not sure what they are accomplishing by this. Maybe if all the other teams opt out, the Mavericks can take the title. Unless their stupid owner decides to go along with the insanity.

I would like to think if they somehow drag Biden across the finish line as the winner with such a message a good portion of white American should stay away from the NBA (no season or game tickets). I would like to think that, but odds are good they would eventually go back to the sport.
I don't believe they're doing this as some righteous stand on principle. I think they are personally offended that their fans didn't rally around them and their causes, and so they are literally taking their ball and going home.
NBA players, meet the Hollywood movie stars. You all deserve each other.

It appears the other NBA teams in the playoffs still want to play but there will be another Players Union meeting Thursday to discuss the situation further. It appears Lebron (Lakers) and Kawhi-baby Leonard (Clippers) are the ones leading this boycott.
The good news here is that Disney/ESPN is f-—ed if there’s no Lakers. They’re already taking a bath this season and now this? The whole point of finishing the season was to fulfill their tv contracts. Intentionally killing the NBA now is going to resonate in a lot of corporate boardrooms. Social justice or not, the NBA may never recover from this.
