LeBron has so much money, he could pay every Black adult in the U.S. $1000 each to better their lives but does he offer to do this? Of course not because he doesn’t think *he* should make that sacrifice. Neither does Oprah. Neither does Tiger. Neither does Beyonce. Neither does Obama. If poverty is what causes their crime and misery, why aren’t black stars stepping up to do something about it?

It appears the other NBA teams in the playoffs still want to play but there will be another Players Union meeting Thursday to discuss the situation further. It appears Lebron (Lakers) and Kawhi-baby Leonard (Clippers) are the ones leading this boycott.

The good news here is that Disney/ESPN is f-—ed if there’s no Lakers. They’re already taking a bath this season and now this? The whole point of finishing the season was to fulfill their tv contracts. Intentionally killing the NBA now is going to resonate in a lot of corporate boardrooms. Social justice or not, the NBA may never recover from this.

I can’t stand LeBron. But he funded the remodeling of a huge bank here on Market Street in Akron and turned it into a very impressive looking “I Promise Academy” that serves inner city youths with behavioral problems. All kids meeting criteria get a full scholarship to U of Akron. The LeBron James Family Foundation also helped establish an urban STEM program at Zook Hall at U of Akron and is now called The LeBron James Family Foundation College of Education.

That said, good riddance to him and I hope he never plays another game.

I'm not sure those two should be lumped together.
