Today I have the honor of announcing the passing of TheRightGuy, aka Jeff S of Arlington Heights, IL (73 years old). Jeff leaves behind a son, a loving wife Laurie of 24 years, and many others.
TheRightGuy was an integral part of the Chicago Chapter of FreeRepublic, his enthusiasm for activism, wry sense of humor, and love of country was something to behold. I can still hear his voice and his laughter, even though it's been years since we were in person together.
Jeff epitomized conservative activism, he loved FreeRepublic, attending national conferences and chapter events because he believed that we shouldn't be the silent majority, we should be vocal.
TheRightGuy has been active on this board having joined in September of 2000. He was keen on debate, was not shy about disagreeing with others here because he knew we needed to debate the issues, not just echo them.
No services have yet been announced.

I’m in the same county. If services are announced, I wouldn’t mind at the very least sending flowers. I think Pritzker’s orders would disallow my presence, and I don’t want to put family members or businesses on the hook.
IL has decided to impose massive fines on businesses.
