A white police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin opened fire on an unarmed Black man who was simply walking away from him -- shooting him point-blank seven times ... and it's all on video.
You see the man walking away from a few officers ... who appear to be telling him to stop, with guns drawn. He makes his away around a car in a nonthreatening manner, he opens the door and attempts to get inside. One of the cops grabs hold of his shirt, and for some inexplicable reason, he unloads seven rounds at arm's length. The victim was flown to a hospital and has been listed as being in serious condition.
Protests are now growing by the minute. Many are demanding the swift arrest of the officer who fired the shots.

That don't matter a bit. What matters are the cops had no idea what he might have been going for. No idea at all. You can't allow a suspect to do that. They don't know. In many cases it turns out to be a gun and the cops get shot up. Of the suspect jumps in, starts the car, a huge pursuit follows and innocent people die on the highway.
Hopefully there's body cam footage.
I'm done with thugs causing unsafe situations and police being blamed.
The car itself is a weapon.
Exactly.
Would you bet your life on that? Because you are betting the cop’s life on it.
Or maybe he was intending to use the vehicle to run down a cop.
“What was he going for in the car?”
His community college enrollment papers and 2nd place rap battle certificate.
What is he going to accomplish by getting in the car and NOT pulling a gun and opening fire? Nothing. Or what is he going to accomplish by getting in the car and NOT floorboarding it in an attempt to escape? Nothing.
He darn sure isn’t getting in the car to accomplish nothing.
The cops are 100% justified in assuming he’s going to do at least one of them and therefore will very likely put innocent lives in danger. He had to have been stopped when he was. The cop saw the situation correctly and did what he had to do. imo
They should be home getting ready for work tomorrow not out in the street.
Ah geez.
Not this sh!t again.
Maybe he had the car wired for a bomb explosion.
Lets say that's not what happened here. My comments are based on the evidence at hand, in this case, the video. Btw, if you're a cop and your trying to detain or arrest a suspect, you can't allow them to reach back into a vehicle. That would be suicide. And if ya allow them to run into some home, they could take hostages, or start killing the innocent.
That's the way cops are trained. And it should be. If ya don't like it take it up with them, not me.
“.. where witnesses say the victim was simply breaking up a fight when cops were called to the scene. It’s unclear what unfolded from there, but this video captures the crucial 20 seconds.

What a horse$hit article!
They are trying to get more race riots started by leaving out the facts of why he got shot.
Fact...The cops had their weapons drawn because they thought he was a threat. Full stop.
Fact... Once the cops draw their weapons you don’t get to screw around and refuse to stop.
Fact... The cop tried to grab him away from the car because they thought it may contain a weapon.
Fact...The cop never shot him until he went for what they thought was a weapon.
Full stop. End of story. Good shoot.
Explain how walking away from a man with a gun is not exactly a peace-loving move?
Arrest him later? I guess you could say that about every situation, and teach perps that all they have to do is act up . . to get arrested later.
The brothas looking for another eve t to riot. Dems better talk this down fast or Trump gets WI.
not just in Kenosha...
Why did the cops draw their guns then follow him around the vehicle in an attempt to get him to comply with their direction? Why did he not stop and follow orders. Why did he make the situation unsafe? Who empowered him?
At what point does the black community take responsibility? When does it clean up the mess it's responsible for? If they listen to the Democrats, and stay in the negative feedback look, they'll never fix it and just point fingers. That juvenile behavior needs to end. Now that we've got people, the Smithsonian for example, teaching personal responsibility and well mannered behavior are elements of white privilege, this politically motivated b*llsh*t needs to be ended.
I hate to do this... You really shouldnt comment on FR anymore. Dangerously dumb In very serious times.
