My friend here in Minneapolistan has had season tickets forever. He said he will not be going now for two reasons.
1. Kneeling. Screw dat.
2. It’s not safe to go into the occupied territory of Minneapolistan anymore.
It’s quite amazing that a mega business like the NFL has decided to shoot itself in the foot. The problem for them is that the foot happens to be a vital organ.
I have been a lifelong Packer fan. I mean, I wached the Ice Bowl as a kid. I have organized my professional schedule around the Packer season games. As of this year, after they have gone all-in on the Antifa-BLM, I now want absolutely nothing to do with the team or the NFL.
I’m takin’ a knee on the NFL.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, blame the flu bug, Murph. I give The Team Formerly Known As The Redskins about one more season before Little Lord Danny is forced to sell controlling interest in the team. And about two more before they either implode, pull an Irsay and move in the middle of the night to a smaller, ‘woke’ market (Portland, anyone?), or do a reverse AFL and join The Rock’s Showboat League. Whatever the outcome, Roger Goodell found a way to destoy an almost century old franchise, and crapped on George Preston Marshall’s tombstone in the process.
None are so blind as those who will not see. Looks like when COVID-19 ends, so will the NFL.

Owners are catering to their stars. If they can't field a team, they can't make money.
America needs to end its obsession with sports. Make those players go back on the field for pocket change while holding down a job somewhere else.

I wonder how these kneeling players will feel after their salaries are cut by 70%.
And yet far too many, even here on FR, will rush back to them after the kneeling story disappears. Like an addict to a fix, or a battered wife with Stockholm Syndrome, they will run back to their dealers and abusers, claiming that all is now well.
Many of them played football extensively in high school or college. I present them as exhibit A that football causes brain damage.
