Accused fraudster and former White House strategist Steve Bannon was aboard a $28 million yacht owned by a Chinese billionaire when he was arrested on fraud charges Thursday morning, according to reports.

The 150-foot mega vessel was in the Long Island Sound near Westbrook, Connecticut, when President Trump’s former strategist was picked up by US Postal Service inspectors, the Hartford Courant reported.

The boat, the Lady May, is owned by Guo Wengui, one of China’s most wanted fugitives, who is wanted in Beijing on fraud, blackmail and bribery charges

The indictment is so clear as to how the scam was carried out I doubt there is a defense. They claimed they didn’t collect one red cent when in fact they were funneling a million to Bannon and 350K to Koflage. Prison is ahead.

Haven't even heard from the defense yet, and there is that whole presumption of innocence thing. But I guess that's passe these days. It's hard to believe that Bannon would be so stupid, but God only knows.

Innocent until proven guilty. He would be a target of the swamp so lets see the other side of the story.

LOL indictments are always damning, they are one sided legal documents. Bannon may, or may not, be guilt of something, but I can guarantee much will look different after his defense has a say. Damn unfortunate if any is true, money is so damn tempting

Presumption of innocence applies to court, not public opinion.

Read the indictment. They repeatedly told donors no one was getting paid a penny then they set up some behind the scenes schemes to funnel money into their personal accounts. Bannon got a million, Koflage got 350000 all the while swearing no one got a penny.

Since the govt traced the money from the donors to the defendants account I don’t see where they can deny it. Plus, they made a bunch of incriminating texts about keeping it secret!

Guo Wengui has been publicly associated with Bannon since October 2017. He was trying to use Steve Wynn to lobby Trump a few years ago. Jeff Sessions reportedly threatened to resign if Guo was turned over to the Chinese authorities.

Stainless steel. The DeLorean of ugly boats. It does do time-travel, however.

I can't tell whether it's a bass boat or is strictly for water skiing.

If someone is a fugitive from the CCP I would expect that they would be given a hearing before the accusations were made by the news media. What ever happened to allegedly? And we don’t have extradition treaties with China.

Can someone explain to me the connection between being accused of fraud about money collected for a border wall, and being on a yacht owned by a Chinese oligarch? Do the Chinese support our fortifying our borders?
