(CNN)President Donald Trump is calling on his followers to not buy Goodyear tires and threatening to remove them from his custom presidential limousine, despite previously railing against "cancel culture," after an employee posted a viral photo of a company policy banning "Make America Great Again" and other political attire in the workplace.
"Don't buy GOODYEAR TIRES - They announced a BAN ON MAGA HATS. Get better tires for far less! (This is what the Radical Left Democrats do. Two can play the same game, and we have to start playing it now!)," he tweeted Wednesday morning.

If Goodyear tires are on Trump’s limo then I doubt they’re off the shelf models. I’m sure they’re specially made for the job. But I would also assume that they’re not the only tire manufactures that make tires like that.
In other words racism supported by the boss is OK, but other racism , even things that leftist extremists call racism but really are not racism, are not allowed.
Sorry Goodyear, bye bye.
Corporate is focused on the words “black lives matter” because they fear the damage that the leftist race hustlers will do to them.
I predict they will adopt a policy holding that any sharing of internal company materials without prior authorization may lead to termination of employment. Of course, if there is a public sharing of internal company slides promoting the homo- way of life, the person will be “warned” (reminded) of the policy, but if the slides are like the one we saw yesterday, they will overturn every conference room and search every computer to catch and fire the perpetrator.
The left has loved using this private form of 60-Minutes “gotcha” to change companies and companies have fallen into line. Real, traditional Americans have been slow to play this game ... but that appears to be changing. And the left does not like it.
“Cancel culture” is not refusing to buy products if a company does something bad in hopes that it will change. That’s called a boycott. Been around a long time.
“Cancel culture” describes the demand that all individuals only ever think and say (and have only ever thought and said) whatever the latest acceptable groupthink is (an impossible task) and the never ending hunt to end, or “cancel”, those who have failed to so. Any violation, no matter how small, nor how far in the past it occured, is reason enough to destroy the life of the violator. It is a destructive, dangerous, evil movement that can never be satisfied no matter how many are “cancelled.”
I do love that “BLM” is ‘non-political’, but “MAGA” is political. It’s happening even in government offices.
You can bet there’s an intensive search going on at Goodyear for the leaker...

From a strategy standpoint Trump should have led with them banning “All lives matter” and “blue lives matter”. Maybe he did and MSM pounced on the MAGA part in an attempt to make hm look petty.

My brother-in-law worked at a Goodyear plant for years before being laid off this year. H'e been telling me for a long time that Goodyear is struggling to stay competitive against cheaper tires from other countries. So yes, it seems that Goodyear is digging themselves an even deeper hole with their SJW posturing.
I have Yokohama tires on my truck. I'm beginning to think it is better to buy foreign merchandise rather than products made by America-hating American companies.
Goodyear supports the anti-American marxist BLM and ATIFA.
WHAT has happened is that flaming Leftists and Liberals have been hired in Personnel and Marketing at countless large companies. My favorite is those in charge of “Digital Marketing” and “Social Media Coordinators”. The evidence of their infiltration is seen in all manner of advertising and messaging.
HAPLESS Executives, and oft times WILLING Executives, bow to their influence. Convincing Senior Leadership that the company MUST become “SOCIALLY AWARE” or business will suffer is all they do.
The result is the absurd amount of Homosexually themed Advertisements and ads featuring anything but a happy WHITE family. I am often struck by the fact that in watching Primetime television you would come away thinking most of the country is GAY and there are hardly any White folks.
Goodyear is just the latest example.
I turned CNN off 8 years ago, refuse to even give their website a click.
Stopped using Goodyear about 1985 or so.
Took my truck by the Goodyear in Bryan, TX to have a flat fixed, put spare on the ground, while I walked to work, about 3 blocks away. (by bad luck, spare had just blown out too, big nail, day before, I hadn’t fixed it yet.) Picked up another nail a block from Goodyear...what better place to be forced to park and walk right? Couple of blocks to work...tire store...
Went home, decided to swap back to the regular tire the next day, (weekend) and found 3 of the 5 lug bolts had been cross threaded. Back to Goodyesr I went, informed the manager (without getting ugly...yet) that they had destroyed 3 lug bolts, they needed to replace them
He refused, said they didn’t do it. I had removed the tires before, I could spin the lug nuts off easily by hand. He called me a liar, insisted they did not damage my lug bolts, refused to even consider fixing what I knew they had done.
I finally told him OK, I’m now the worst walking bad advertisement you ever had. I promise I’ll tell everyone who will listen what a rotten, dishonest business this is, and I’ll never be able to drive enough customers away from this shop...he just said ok and walked off...
See ya...
And I left.
I kept that promise, it’s now about 35 years later, and I’m STILL steering customers away from Goodyear...and always will.
And do you know what it cost me to replace those lug bolts myself? $2 each and about 20 minutes with a hammer, ratchet and breaker bar...they could have done it in 5 minutes with an air impact...6 bucks and I’ve been driving husiness away for 35 years.
I also have Michelins. Goodyear don’t last and they were the first tire company to open a plant in China.
How can Goodyear cave?
A lame apology in response to an appeal to not buy their tires by the President of the United States is an irrelevancy. There is no real defense.
If there is a real threat it will come from GM or Ford that abandon Goodyear on new cars. That is what must happen. Don’t buy a new Chevy delivered with Goodyear tires.
How is All Lives Matter political? If Black Lives Matter is not political(which it is), then any other Lives Matter is not political.
